Let’s pump the brakes he did this against an AAAA white Sox spring training team. It’s very encouraging to see but if this is the direction we are going with him let him continue in the minors Cimber on the other hand has had an insane ST so far, nice to see and didn’t cost $11 million

That would make sense if Perry didn’t blow $33 million on a reliever that has only ever been good for 6 months on the rays. Been crap outside of that. If we are rebuilding and taking flyers on tradeable relievers how is a $11 million dollar reliever tradeable

Looks like we really are going into the season with the roster at hand... I just cant understand. I suppose Martinez is possible because Heyman wont stop talking about him coming here but he also said that about snell for weeks. We really spent all our money on Robert Stephenson. I would have rather given that money to Martinez and just rolled with fliers on the bullpen like Garcia, Cimber, Zuniga etc for a 1-2 mill a piece.

God it would be so nice to bat Rendon lead off with either Schanuel/hicks 2nd, Trout 3rd with Martinez protecting him… one can dream

Agree with MMC, if Rosenthal is being this blunt usually it happens within 24 hours. Well it was a fun ride while it lasted boys, who needs snell when we have Wantz!

Arte won't spend money on Snell or Martinez but will gladly let Perry spend $50 million on the bullpen..... doesn't make any sense, hasn't all off season. Either Perry is an idiot and blew his load on an "improved bullpen" or Arte cut him off unexpectedly midway through the offseason

Wayne gave a pretty thorough answer on your Blake Snell question @Chuck I appreciate the candidness of his answer. I doubt he knows much as far as any specific discussions going on but the way he talked about snell and specially mentioned that snell is more likely than montgomery gave me reason to believe there’s smoke. He also spoke like many of us do on here that if you have the opportunity to bring him in on the right deal it only improves the team and makes us better -
