No one likes someone who pulls out prematurely.

I know the rule, it's just a dumb one and doesn't make sense. Force outs and infield fly are completely different because the batter put the ball in play. On a third strike, the batter did nothing other than sucking and should not be rewarded because of it.

The ability to run to first on a dropped 3rd strike has to be the dumbest rule in sports. Why was it ever put in place? That's like a defensive player dropping a would be interception and the receiver being able to pick it up and run.
