Wow, Kittens have no one else to bat here but this kid ?
-
Wow, walking the winning run to first .
-
Wow. Way to choke a bit O's. JD, hits a double near the right center wall. UnFRICKINGBelievable.
That's gone 3 hours ago. lol
-
Oh boy.
O's blowing this lead
-
I hope Hambone made his offering to Joebu today.
-
Kittens go down in the 8th.
They're not getting shutout at home , are they ?
-
Trout did swing at a first pitch fastball in Game 1 and he popped it up. He does need to swing at strike 1 more but he's had several hittable pitches that he's missed badly so he just plain doesn't have a clue what he's doing right now.
He needs to stop with that mental game already.
He's looking like ARod now in the playoffs.
He needs to Jeter . There, I said it .

This is why Detroit's Vegas odds were what they were. A bunch of bookmakers are about to make some money
They make money whoever wins .

Just take your cootie spray Joey, that will keep them away. I'm assuming since you believe the team name is a jinx then you believe in cootie spray.
You can take your lipstick and pompoms.

Looking at the lineups for games 1, 2 & 3 reminds me of something Einstein supposedly said about insanity.
lol
-
well, of course, Iannetta is sooooooo much better
Yeah, he threw out a bunch of runners . LOL
-
At least the Kittens might get eliminated before us .
-
I would be happy with 3 in this series. Why not put him in the line up, and after the first pitch, have Cowgill, or even that cute ball girl take his place?
lol

This version of Hamilton doesn't own anybody
He owns Sosh.

So if Mike takes the blame for losing to Wild Card teams, then he must be REALLY good guiding a shitty Wild Card team to the championship!
Advantage Scioscia
2 division wins, zero AL title.
4 divisions wins, zero AL title . Soon to be 5 ?
Mauch did not have the opportunity to take a wild card team to the playoffs OR 3 division league.
10-21 since 2002.
-
He could have left Witt in for the win. He overreacted.
Witt couldn't get Gedman out and he already hit him .
-
The Angels had a cast of hall of fame players on their roster and all other team complained Autry was trying to buy a championship.
Fact is March took superior teams into the playoffs and choked in historic fashion. I think the Brewers series was the first time a team has a two game lead in a best if five and lost.
in 1982 Gene Mauch's Angels were the highest payroll team in baseball.
In 1986 the Angels were the 3rd highest payroll in the American League.
Your embarrassing yourself Joey.
He was 2 games under .500.
Sosh ?
Against wild card teams ?
-
I thought we were talking about records in the post season?
OK, Mauch is two games under .500 in those two stints.
-
Who would choose the first? That would be the 3rd straight 1 run extra inning loss in a row.
4-1 in the second game , but for all intents and purposes it was a 1-run loss.
I choose a win today.

Gary Lucas didn't do his job when he came in to face Gedman and hit him on his first pitch. Mauch had made the right decision there to remove a tiring Mike Witt. Gedman already had three hits against him that day. And bringing in Moore to face Henderson was the right move also.
It wasn't Mauch's fault that we lost that game.
It wasn't . Gedman's average against Lucas was horrid . Mauch played the percentages . Moore had a bad elbow and we did not trade for a closer .
In two series , Mauch was two games under .500.
Sosh ? With the highest payroll in the division ????
In a 3-division league ????

Hamilton has been as helpful to the royals this series as Eric hosmer. Even in the 7th spot that doesn't matter.
32 pitches in two games. Ouch!

The reason Mauch got fired was because he completely lost the team after the 86 season. I used to rehab a broken wrist with one of the Angels' former trainers, he told me stories of that 87 season about how the players just disrespected Mauch continually.
He didn't get fired though . He retired.
If the players did completely disrespect him, then his time was up.
Kinda like Davey Johnson.

And that would give him more chances to "find his stroke".
MLB Network was doing a swing analysis on him this morning, showing a side-by-side of when he was raking for the Rangers and what he is doing now. Right now he is just waving at the ball. There is no power or focus in his swing. If he makes contact with his current swing, he will either ground out to the right side, pop the ball up or hit a soft liner to the outfield.
They should have sent Baylor a copy.
I saw some slowmo of his hitch.
By the time his bat gets in the zone, it has no chance of accelerating . SAD.

Mikey is snapping out of it today. He's gonna have 3 hits and double digit bases.
