Would have been nice to pull the trigger on a deal like the Cardinals did today... I feel like we have waaaaaaaaaay too many inexperienced bullpen arms. Cardinals acquired RHP Juan Nicasio from the Phillies for INF Eliezer Alvarez. Philadelphia claimed Nicasio off waivers from the Pirates on August 31, giving up nothing in return, and will now flip the 31-year-old reliever to St. Louis for a young infield prospect. Nicasio boasts a 2.79 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and 61/18 K/BB ratio in 61 1/3 innings this season and he gives the Cardinals' bullpen a much-needed upgrade. He will not, however, be eligible for the playoffs if the Cardinals make it there.

Same here. I can't believe I was OK with Salas coming in after what we saw from Scribner last night.

Meaning, trade for some bullpen help. I know we won't be able to use said help acquired in a trade in the playoffs should we get in, but any help at this stage would be great. Thoughts? You'd have to think that there's some teams that want some $$$ relief from now until the end of the season that would unload a reliever since they're out of contention.

I would have went with Marte at 3B over Pennington, but whatever. Looks decent otherwise.
