any publicity is good publicity and you can bet big boy is loving every minute

maybe the angels are actually a triple A affliate of the cardinals?
-
SOS since long before dp got here. minus the owners screwups, dp has done a good job with the pitching. needs on the field and in the dugout culture change and has for a long time.

I have it on good authority that he is so upset at the Angels for that low ball offer of 6 years and $150 million that once he is done playing out that contract that offended him so much, that he will be signing with the Royals, for $1 more ala Bob Boone.
its interesting that when interviewed trout refers to the angels as "the team" rather than "our team" or "my team" as in "i want to help the team win"

we need more utility guys with speed that can bunt
-
some guys have been very sucessful with the speed and the stuff that weavers throwing up there. i just keep hoping he turns into a jaime moyer type.

id like to put in a vote for shirt bazookas with the can. leaves more for me and they appreciate it

remember when aybar called for that pop fly, lost it and it bounced off his head?
-
well, this should help us getting marginal calls in the future. nobody bitches about umpiring more than i do but for our field general to say this in the press?
-
Aybar is such an idiot.
aybar is the dumbest SOB ever to play mlb.

who would you rather watch: covicts breaking rocks at hard labor or young guys having fun playing a kids game?
-
where is eddie bane now that we need him
-
well no, the cardinal thread reminded me of my envy for thier team concept.

jim edmonds referred to st louis as "baseball nirvana". its appearent that traditionally the players there are having fun playing and dont look like galley slaves pulling at the oars. more about attitude and having fun playing a kids game with the focus on team and not on individual retirement planning.

i agree. he seems like an unwanted part on this team
-
like to see green get a shot- if not here elsewhere. he hit until he got injured, which is his fault, i guess
-
id be sour if i never played the same position 2 games in a row
-
no. WGAF. did this used to be a team game?
-
another sciosia casualty?

Shit post is shit
thanks for contributing. and thanks for you attempts at improvement.

If the umpiring was so incompetent that the only pitches that were called strikes had to be center plate then the Angels are far more incompetent not taking advantage. The Yankees, it appears, don't suffer from the same problem.
yea, the strike zones were quite different for the two teams. you would think in a line of work that demands accuracy, consistentcy would be a valued skill.
-
what is with mlb umpires? the last two nights i watched home plate umpires that were borderline incompetent. alfonso marquez is not an mlb quality umpire. neither was the guy at home plate in the series opener against the yanks. the whole deal with inconsistent strike zones has become ridiculous to the point of being unwatchable. both weaver and richards had the intensity to win squeezed out of them by these two- if the only time your going to get a strike call is by throwing a meatball down the middle to the greatest hitters in the world, well the results will be obvious.
are these umps just homer biased or are they, as i suspect, just more weak sisters in the long running tradition of joe west and doug eddings ?
watching the home plate umps in those two games makes me wonder if the outcomes weren't predetermined.

what a weak game
I will say this for Dipoto...
