Good:  Mike Trout finally gets through farting around and starts taking baseball seriously. He puts up a 20 WAR season.

Bad:  It takes the Angels 7 games to beat the Dogs in the World Series.

Yeah. I've been thinking the same thing about his toughness. I broke my femur several years ago and the pain cannot be accurately described with words. To see him attempt to stand and walk told me a hell of a lot about Don Baylor as a man. That was simply incredible.

Okay, well, I was pretty impressed by it anyway. I also read that no other team has ever came close to that in history so there was probably some sort of plan behind it.

The point is that the entire season the Angels only had a lefty hitter go in against a lefty pitcher 8 times. They effectively eliminated all other team's lefty specialists. I think its pretty amazing that they reduced their opponent's bullpen by one roster spot in every game.

The 2012 Los Angeles Angels were 1-for-7 with a SH when they had a lefty batter facing a lefty pitcher. Think about that for a minute.
