    Angels had already won the first two games of the series and Nevin bet on having a fair enough chance to get the third game sans Rendon. I don't necessarily agree to the gamble but it happened to pay off.

    I guess he needs a third of the games off on top of taking a third of each game he plays in off Angels' Batting Average with runners in scoring position is over .300 with Rendon in the lineup and under .200 with him not it. So, like it or not, his playing time will need to be managed very carefully going forward if they're going to maximize their return on investment. It is what it is. Deal with it.

    Since the last time they made the postseason in 2015, with the exception of 2020, which was a really weird season that should not be compared to the ordinary, the Angels have a winning percentage against Houston of something like .250.
