  1. I'm NOT in the "fire Scioscia" mob, but if a change is made the Angels should promote 3B coach Dino Ebel. Even though he works for Scioscia his manager's style, based on what I saw the year he managed in Salt Lake, is completely different. He was firey, aggressive, and the team played focused baseball. If Scioscia goes, give Ebel the job for the rest of the season and give him a chance to prove himself.

While I like Ebel, I would want someone that has absolutely zero ties to Mike Scioscia. Don't let the cancer linger.

  2. You trust Mime with catchers after the Mathis/Napoli debacle? I certainly don't.

He has to be good at something doesn't he haha?

At least he would not be making any decisions or be in a leadership role. My point is, I'm sure he would be so embarrassed and walk away, but then again, the guy is one of the most stubborn persons in the world and that might not be the case.

  3. Love listening to Scioscia say that these guys will just figure it out sooner or later. Wouldn't want you to press the issue and create a sense of urgency with these guys, fatass.

  4. Thanks, I know it's a rough patch, but you have so much talent right now and it's mindblogging right now how it's not clicking right now. I didn't expect you guys to be shutout by the AAAstros. If I was a betting man I would have put money on the Angels to wipe the floor tonight.

I still think Pujols should be hitting cleanup for you guys until Josh figures out how to play baseball again imho.

Thanks. Best of luck to you guys. I'm a big Cards' fan. Heavily invested in them for fantasy this year.

Yeah, that would require a manager with half a brain.

  5. I've been following the Angels since you got Pujols. Yes the Cardinals have a board and our game ended hours ago so I decided to watch the Angels game. I didn't realize I commited a crime or anything,

You're good man. All of us just hate everything right now. Our organization sucks and our manager is a coward.

  6. There is no way he didn't know there was 1 out

I loved the way he just went into the dugout, grabbed his shit, and left. He was also jogging down the baseline when he hit the FC.

  7. what happened at the end of the game?

Pop up to the catcher with one out. Hamilton took off thinking there were two outs and got doubled up at first. Yes this is the major leagues.

  8. If Mike had any cojones, he'd bench Hamilton for at least a game for that. It sure wouldnt hurt our offense.

Scioscia is such a pansy. He would never. Ship his ass out.

  9. Maybe they could trade for these players:

    Hunter .405/.419/.476

    Santana 1.07 WHIP, 3.21 ERA

    Wells .360/.467/.720

I wonder what Santana could have been with a competent pitching coach that could help him dial in with his issues. He always had the stuff.

  10. Step 1- Sign The Beard. He will certainly add some character to this team (they need some). I am not sure when he will be ready, but a pen with a healthy Wilson and Madson sure looks a lot better than what we have now. This is all dependent on their health though. Situational Closer by committee.

Step 2- Fire Butcher. He has not done anything for this staff. They need a pitching coach that can lead, inspire and light a fire under the but of thie kids and Vets. Percy anyone? I am not sure if he would be interested or good, if not, someone else then.

Step 3- Send Eppard back to AAA. I think he is a good coach and teacher, but it seems to me that the entire hitting philosophy is flawed. Maybe this comes from Scioscia. I would love to see Salmon as a batting coach, but I am sure there are other good options.

Step 4- Move Trout back to the Lead-off spot and put Hamilton in the two hole. with Trout (and in later innings Bourjos) hopefully on base with the threat to steal and Pujols batting behind him, Hamilton should see more fast balls.

Step 5- Put Scioscia on a super short leash and start looking for a new manager just in case.

I like all of this. Good call. It is a start.

  11. So Billy Beane is a genius again? I'm guessing we would hate the guy watching him trade away starter after starter year in and year out.

As if he has a choice? He does a great job getting a return for guys he knows they will not be able to re-sign.

Obviously, the comparison with the Angels budget and the A's budget is tough, but Beane definitely gets way more bang for his buck than we do, clearly.

  12. Mike Scioscia. What don't people get? A manager is responsible for winning, efficiency, and productivity. Scioscia is unsatisfactory in all of these categories. It is his responsibility to fix these areas, whether it be with the coaches he brings in to assist or through his practices.

There have been far less talented teams that are successful under a manager. This is an issue that extends far beyond this year and is not an over reaction due to our 2-7 start.

  13. Piece of shit team, the A's throw a random ass team together, we put together a team where every player makes 15 million plus per year and we look little leaguers. I just don't get it.......

The A's are anything but a random ass team thrown together. If anything, they are more carefully crafted than the Angels are. Beane goes in with a purpose and executes it to perfection.
