  1. I listened (and cringed) to Roger Lodge a lot in the mornings. However, I can stand anything that is talking Angels, so the Sports Lodge had that going for it.

Haven't heard Travis by himself yet, but am looking forward to it.

Roger was good at pimping the Angels and Lakers ... Travis has a different agenda in mind it seems.

  2. While I understand his reasoning and that is fine, you can do whatever you want.  But as a fan, I'd kind of question who dedication to winning if he is willing to just go to any team because of money.  Not saying he doesn't try, but it just doesn't sound like he has that burning desire to want to win or be part of a winning situation.

So free agents should only sign with winning teams that what them?

  3. I'm not impressed  with Travis out of the gate. He spent almost a hour talking about a cake made to look like a thousand dollar bill. So much to talk about in sports after a great weekend ... dude is knowledgeable but why talk about a cake?

Lodge is very upbeat in the morning ... Travis not so much.

  4. When I read things like this, I can't help but root for Wells to do well. He says all the right things, he isn't demanding playing time or to be traded, and he puts the onus on himself to earn the opportunity. I can't say that I'm thrilled that he is on the roster, but if you are stuck with a player it might as well be one with a positive attitude.

I have to agree with you except for the fact that I'm happy he's on the roster. This isn't to be confused with the idea that I'm happy with his contract. Outfield depth is questionable this season ... if Wells can somehow find his stroke again he could be the dark horse of the season.

  5. Not true. Actually Roger and I were at ends for a while that had to do with a comment he made about me on Blind Date. But it's water under the bridge, we actually go back to a guest spot he did on Full House.

The bunk mates rumor was started by a mutual friend of ours, Mario Van Pebbles. It caused quite a roar and I no longer play golf with him anymore.

I saw you many many moons ago at a Rick Springfield concert. My girlfriend at the time was gaga over you ... she got a hug out of you and I had the best sex of my life later that night.

    :D

  6. Aybar has more baseball smarts in his pinky finger than anyone here and does a great job of leadership on the infield. Highest combined (offense/defense) WAR value of anyshortstop last season. He will progress more into a leadership role as he matures as a player. Hamilton and Pujols need to take on the leadership role for the team. I think Weaver shows great leadership as a pitcher for the Angels.
