  1. AND his nearly mechanical manager style.  Which all of MLB is hip to and is never surprised by.  They ALL have his plug in playbook and react accordingly.  Iron Mikey is usually the only one surprised at opponents' adept defense to his 'strategies'.

  2. No surprise as Royals Nation perimeters are the entire mid section of the US.  I don't know how many, maybe thirty some odd states, give or take.  They'll vote in maybe twenty-five or thirty KCR All-Stars every year the next five years.  And they're mega organized and verily OWN the internet?

  3. Yup.  I'm not going to concern myself with the won lost record this season.  I do expect it to be a big disappointment.  But that said I'll happily watch the efforts of our super talents out there, Trout, Simmons, Kole, Garret Richards.  Hopefully there'll be many other players bringing an A game in 2016?

  4. KCRs.

    MLB's gold standard.

We'll get a sniff at how far apart or near we stand against these skill players today.

I'm liking what I'm catching so far with our 'G-Man'.  Choi.

And I'm liking our other G-Man's efforts thus far in the early early going, Giavotelli.

    Go Halos.  Forever.

  5. Now we are all aware that we acquired the magician for his smooth as silk D.  But....  how far above el Mendoza line are we gonna be comfortable with?  Say you?  .205, .225, .240, .275?  I believe I read that the wizard expects to jab at about .280 in his first go-round in the junior circuit?  Maybe he will maybe not?  The very last magic man to come to town was Ervin Magic Johnson and he brought along considerable offense with his D?

But again if the newest magi languishes closer to .205 or .225 are you still good with it all?  And if he's struggling the year long where does Iron Mike bat him?  7, 8, 9?  Where would you?

Our throwers are all supposedly giddy at his mere presence out there?  He's like having a chain link fence extending from second to third.  A ball tapped anywhere in his sweet zone is a nearly as possible automatic out?  For the next 5 years.

I believe he'll have a fairly normal period of adjustment in this new league?  I think he'll hit his .280.  But maybe it's next year for that?  I'm seeing him hit nearer .250?  With crazy magical D.

  6. 1. My Wife is no longer with us.

    2. I doubt you have a firm relationship with more than 3 guys personally. Which doesn't equate to a Crew = More a Few~

    3. Your use of the term Mate requires you to be Australian or within the English/New Zealand background or an ex-Pat which you are not.

    4. No one stays anywhere till dawn.

    5. No matter how you slice it you are good at nothing. But, I'm sure you have many pursuits.

    I'm sorry for your loss.

And I was just joking with you.

You're long term here and I'm the new guy.

Could we just back up a tad and start better?

Again, apologies to you and no offense intended.

Also in most cases I really like your cool videos etc. you post.  They're awesome and hilarious.

  7. IMO far too little was done to address the team's most glaring weaknesses. This team had trouble scoring runs, and no real run producers were added. We desperately needed a left fielder, and we took a complete pass on one of the most loaded free agent classes ever. We traded some of our little remaining young talent for a player who is an elite defender, but who was not at a position of immediate need. He is unlikely to help offensively. Starting pitching isn't the strength that a lot of people believe. Jered Weaver's marked drop in velocity is troublesome, and possibly career ending. Word has already come that C. J. Wilson and Ricky Skaggs will likely start the season on the DL. Hector Santiago is Jekyll and Hyde. He's either great or he's terrible, and we saw far too much of the latter down the stretch last season. We had a chance to bolster the bullpen, but instead we re-upped with Fernando Salas.

The same players who didn't produce a year ago are a year older and a year slower. There were some additions, but none that significantly improve the club at any position besides shortstop, and that only defensively. We have the premier player in the game, but he can't do it alone. In my mind, this is a .500 team at best.

Wow, you might be scary smart?  Are you on anybody's watch list?  Not to be too paranoid?  And not that anyone can be too paranoid???

  8. Today I was asked if I wanted strawberry or grape jelly on my PBJ. It was, at the time, a really difficult decision. You know your at some dump breakfast shop where you ask for jelly and either you get one packet of grape (that covers about a half a slice of toast) or some gooey jar full with a spoon in it and you know one of the homeless guys in there licked the spoon. Strawberry on the other hand can be only slightly better. Unless it is a good brand you are eating grape jelly with strawberry seeds and red food dye. My brother will grab the jam tray of packets and spoon out all of the good ones like blackberry, strawberry, raspberry and he is not even having breakfast, he just scams the jams and leaves the grape and orange marmalade. As I've gotten older I've come to appreciate orange marmalade, it's like some grandmother's recipe where she slips in some peel. Old school before all of the food channel snobs showed up and you can't have some simple dessert that is sugary and delicious, it has to be made of kale, and pine nuts (sunflower seeds for snobs) with a bitter element and other horse shit. Marmalade goes great with a Monte Cristo sandwich that is off the diet for a long, long time.

    I chose grape.

    Optomism paid off today.

Had some wild wandering ideas that one might enjoy an afternoon with you and your brother and your culinary choices in some coffee dive?  But on second thought realized you two might get me in trouble?  Don't think that the waitress didn't see what your bro was up to?  No doubt this is similar to how Senor Moreno scopes out the ongoing language about him on message boards etc.  It's ALWAYS about him.

  9. two saturdays ago I went to the store on the previous wednesday and didn't buy anything but I saw one of those fire logs that burn for hours with the blue flame and the chemicals.  I always wondered why they sold that stuff on the other side of the cashier stations.  I haven't been back often except to pick up stuff to make dinner every night because the parking is annoying.  But then I ran out of it and figured I would get more on my trip to Fresno because she never says no.  So we ate in front of the tv that night even though I've been trying to get the kids to learn another language but it's hard because I don't speak one.  I can understand a little spanish, french, but not mandarin or most any other Asian language.

so yah.  I think we'll win 90 games.

Very much enjoyed meandering around on a little sojourn with you and your family.  Reminds me of when I go to a Costco store and may enjoy myself wandering the huge and wide aisles.  All sort of curious and odd matters for sale often in mega proportions as if we buyers were all supposed to be supersized?  I've made mistakes in purchasing some of same only to have it collect and fester in some far cupboard or the garage?  I'm wondering if the outdoor advertising salesman our Arte, shops this same way in his free agent selections and worrisome trade pacts?

  10. Actually this post is most specifically concerning the current campaign but you may bundle it to include everything under the current Halo Regime?  Are you in the whole merry regarding the whole general state of affairs?  Or not?  Fiercely not?  Aggressively not?

Do ya just merely swim with the school like a good li'l fishy squishie?  Hey bud it's eff'n all chummy n great.  Even if thee is part of the chum bein' scattered to ye olde waters?  Youch.

    Speak.  Or squeak.

  11. Some executive decisions need to be made for the greater good.  We need Trout uninjured and fresher for the long long season.  Running Trout all over the lot all the long season is harder on Trout and ultimately harder on the team.  Kole and Trouty are both powerful big body type players.  Someone lighter and thinner is a better option to patrol CF.  Trout has not yet won a gold glove.  There are reasons why not.  He'll win one in LF, Kole another GG in right.
