Oh well...
The market should be moving faster now.

1B Ji-Man Choi also selected from Orioles

I have liked this guy for awhile now. I wouldn't bet the entire season on him putting up comparable numbers though. He's definitely in the bargain bin of outfielders along with Parra, Span, and such.
-
Unknown what the return is.
I was hoping we could have picked him up.
-
He can't be any worse that what we have. I wouldn't be upset either way. I do like his versatility at 2B and 3B.

Nice article probably stating what most of us already know.

Go get him Billy!

...and a Blue Jays game broke out.

Because Greinke is opting out of his contract he won't cost a draft pick, right? If so I think he could be a big sign. Scherzer got 7 years/$210M. I'm sure Greinke would want something similar.
Go get him Arte!

It looks like we might have 9+ starters going into 2016
Richards
Heaney
Santiago
Weaver
Wilson
Shoemaker
Tropeano
Skaggs
Newcomb (probably a stretch…)
I say trade CJ and/or Hector to shed payroll for the offense.

So apparently we won...

Who would have the #1 seed? They are each sitting at 90-65 as of right now.
-
I'd like us to go after Heyward. His numbers are trending up, and he seems to be figuring it out offensively. He's only 26, brings premium defense and baserunning. High baseball IQ. He'll cost a pretty penny, but I'm sure Arte will open up his pocket book.
Does Kole move over to LF or do we start Heyward (who was 0 career games in LF) there?
-
I'd like to see Daniel Murphy or Zobrist at 2B. We also need a quality reliever like Tyler Clippard.
-
These are driving me insane! This is all Josh Hamilton's fault. If Arte didn't have to pay him, he would need all this ad revenue. You are still murdering us Josh!!!

That's just peachy...
He's bating .292/.341/.581 this year.
Can you imagine an all homegrown, cheap outfield? Oh well, one can only pray we stop sending out our top prospects for guys like Freese and Sallas...
-
I liked him, but there was no way he would be sent from the A's to us.

I'm reminded that we went with Hamilton and Blanton instead of Torii and Greinke....
Hyun-Soo Kim a possibility?

This article is a worthwhile read and shows how great signing him could be.

His name's been thrown around here, but I'm starting to like Kim more and more. This guy has had a great BB/K his entire career (101/63 last year). He hits for average and has a great OBP, albeit in the KBO, but that shouldn't get completely lost in translation.
The article gives him the reasonable expectation of .275+/.350+OBP/10+HR/60+BB. Only 4 outfielders were able to achieve those numbers last year. Trout, Harper, McCucthen and, Choo. Crazy right??
This guy could really help us, and at the expected $5MM AAV he'd be a steal.
Oh and he's just 27!
