Some Rangers fans have launched a "movement" to remain silent during Josh Hamilton's return to Arlington. Not sure if this was discussed before. I think that's great, it will make it easier to hear him crush a ball into the right field stands. They even have "Baseball Town Since 1972" shirts. Funny, their twitter account was created on February 18th, two weeks after the Super Bowl ended.

I'd rather us fall on our faces and work through it now, then when it actually counts.

So everybody expects this team to turn it on beginning April 1st?
So, by using your logic, what happened last year when we were killing it in spring and stumbled hard out the gate? It's like there is no connection between the two.

Based on his stat's, he looks like a poor man's Iannetta. At least he can throw out some runners, we're lucky if Conger can get it to the base. It's kinda sad, this is the real life version of Rube Baker from Major League II. Get Conger a Frederick's of Hollywood catalog, ASAP.

I caught Mike Butcher on am830 this morning and he said he has been very impressed with Hanson so far in their sessions. He did mention that there are a couple adjustments they are working on that make a lot of sense and can bring more success for Hanson. Butcher mentioned that he is very upright (obviously you can tell by watching him) and they are trying to extend him a little more to increase a few MPH on the velocity and give the pitches more depth. It sounds like Hanson may have picked up some altered mechanics in the 2nd half last year due to his back injury. If he can make these adjustments, it sounds they are confident he can be more successful than the past couple years. A little optimism for the day...

Vargas looking good so far.

Luis Rodriguez or Andrew Romine?
Well both, but I've seen Rodriguez with a lot of good ABs.

Luis Rodriguez is doing a great job this spring. Very Izturis-like clutch hitting. I mean pre-2012 Izturis, when he was clutch.

Hambone. Welcome.

Trout being all Trouty.

Don't think they provide radar readings in spring training for the televised games.

save some for Anaheim, Conger...

Oh well...i'll give a mulligan for his first game

If Iannetta can get something going here, it's been a very successful day for the regulars...

I doubt Blanton is the "3rd Starter", but he may be in the 3rd position for the season based on scheduling. After the first few weeks, the matchups get thrown off completely anyway. I think for the start to the season with our schedule, it's better to have Blanton in the 3 than Hanson. In terms of talent Vargas or Hanson are really the 3rd starter.

One of the beatguys, I think Alden Gonzalez, did comment that Hanson was one of the guys that was really standing out so far. No details beyond that, though.
@Alden_Gonzalez
It's early, but two guys who stick out in camp so far: Barry Enright and Tommy Hanson. #Angels

I like the logic of this rotation schedule. Assuming all 5 keep on the same track, which is not set in stone obviously, it looks like Blanton will pitch against the Reds over the Rangers to start the season.
Angels just traded Vernon Wells to NYY

So George Costanza really did broker this trade.
