  1. "There is definitely some unknown because of the transition. We scouted him extensively. Certainly, we look forward to adding him into the mix with the rest of our rotation. That's what we look at him as: A solid, potential No. 3 starter in the big leagues."

Lol $155 million for a solid #3, alrigghttt

  2. Weaver is ace by default but he's a 1.5 or a 2 starter, Wilson is a solid 3, Vargas is a decent 4, I'd offer him arb, and Richards can be depended on to be the 5 until he can prove himself over a season.  What the team needs is a starter somewhere between Weaver and Wilson to complete the rotation.

The BP is a different story...I'd keep De La Rosa, Frieri, Kohn..I'd keep Williams for depth and hopefully Rasmus can work out.  That's five but considering injuries and regression they probably need 3-4 new arms.  Berg, Morin, and Maronde should be given long looks as well.

1.5 or a 2? He, Verlander, and Felix have been the best 3 Al pitchers in the past few years. How is Weaver a 2?

  3. Point is it's not like Francona has his team playing incredible baseball.

They are a few games over .500.

Not to mention I see no evidence that Sosh's managing has cost this team games.  It's all conjecture.

Look at what he's been given in comparison to Scioscia and he still has a much better record. A team can suck because the players aren't good but you can't have a team making this many mistakes, that's on Scioscia.
