AJ, what some are trying to say here is your optimism and perspective are messing with their negativeity/hate-fueled buzz and it is not welcome.  The only possible outcome is continual descent into oblivion.  Please note this for future posts.

I believe it's fueled by THE WORST START IN THE HISTORY OF THE FRANCHISE!

There's really nothing to lose if you fire the staff and hire Salmon, Percival and Darren Erstad. I saw Jim Edmonds on Real Housewives of Orange County. He was lookin pretty good, let's hire him.

No way he's back on drugs, he's tested 2-3 times a week.

The guy is just a different player right now though.

Arte should fire everyone. Management, coaches, scouts. All of them go bye bye. Every single employee GONE. He should also cut players as much as he can and trade who he can right away.

The Angels have progressively gotten worse as coaches have been picked from the staff and hired as managers for other teams. So was Scoscia the reason they won in 2002? Or was it Bud Black, Joe Madden and them fellas?

Actually, there's reason you should really give up now. You saw how last season ended, the Angels finished 3rd in the division. Well that team was better than this team. The starting pitching was far far far better, they had 2 aces in Weaver and Greinke. This year they have 0 aces and a bunch of scraps. Last year they had Torri Hunter who had a stellar season and Mike Trout having one of the greatest offensive seasons ever. Mike Trout will not replicate last year, I mean he's still great, but he is not replicating 2012 and Torri Hunter is gone. So if you do the math they will have a worse season than 2012 and possibly finish behind the Mariners who improved their baseball team.

Not too worried about Albert... except for the GIDP's.  He's either got to rehab his foot completely, or get back to hitting up the middle.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see Albert hit into a 8-4-3 double play going up the middle at how slow he is to first.

Wrigley and Fenway are absolute dives. They should blow them up build a real stadium. Get with the times, it's gotta happen at some point.

Why would Hudler want any part of that job? That would cut into his 4:20 bongload session everyday.

The only way you rebuild now is to unload your large contracts of players who will do nothing for the rebuild. These players include CJ Wilson, Albert Pujols and Josh Hamilton. The only way you are going to get another team to take any of these scraps is to include players who have value like Jered Weaver maybe Howie Kendrick possibly Ferie and Aybar. So you gonna have to package up a deal like Jham+CJ+Weaver for minor leaguers then package up Pujols+Kendrick+Aybar+Feiri for minor leaguers. That is your best bet to build a competetive team within the next decade. Otherwise this team is sunk for a looooong time. Jerry Buss would know how to fix this fiasco, and it takes bold moves.

I don't think we can make the argument that the big contracts are a problem until we actually see them being a problem.  Albert's and CJ's contracts didn't hinder us from getting Josh.  It's Arte's money, let him spend how he wants.

 

It's not the money that matters, it's how the people are playing and the results on the field. 

Really? Have you seen the pitching staff? Don't you think the Josh, CJ, and Pujols contracts have prevented them from putting together 5 strong starters and a good bullpen? Right now it's the worst in baseball only behind the Astros and they don't count because they aren't even trying to win anyways.

This team is screwed for the next decade and it is Dipoto's fault. The quickest way to fix this thing is to dump/trade whoever we can now. Pujols, Hamilton, CJ Wilson and whoever else we can get rid of outside of Trumbo and Trout. If it means packaging up Weaver with Pujols Jham and CJ in order to get a team to take those worthless turds then so be it. You need to bite the bullet now in order to rebuild quicker. Ya sure it is crazy and will never happen because of egos but that's what needs to be done. May as well fire all management and coaches too, start from scratch here.

How is anyone picking Bourjos? He's on the DL with a pulled hammy, he is done for months.

Give ME a break. You guys are so quick to hate on this team, why don't you just go root for a new team since you clearly can't ever be happy with this one. A 20-0 win would be greeted with "Hamilton struck out twice, when he hit three homers" it's ridiculous. You don't think pitchers spent a little extra time preparing for Trout over the off season, especially since they finally got film on him? So sorry he isn't hitting .400 with 30 steals 10 homers and 30 RBIs yet. Oh wait, that still wouldn't be enough for some of you.

Quick to hate on this team? The season is 25 games in and the Angels are 1 game above the worst record in the American League! They are 1 game above the Houston Astros! They are ATROCIOUS! There are so many holes on this team it doesn't even look like things will get much better. Believe me, if it were last year you would have an argument but we all witnessed the atrocity which was 2012 first half season and now the 2013 season looks even worse! Atleast last year we had Torri Hunter and Zach Greinke who were GREAT. This year we have a much much worse starting staff with our ACE on the DL until June. Compare last years team to this years and tell me whats better. Correct, last years team was better and it was a TRAIN WRECK SEASON. Hey I agree this team isn't a last place team, but they sure aint even close to a first place team. The best thing they could do is get on a hot streak and possibly finish the season at .500. You need to open your eyes pal, blind faith don't win championships. Smart management wins championship, something this team greatly lacks.

Just think how much better this team would be with Trout back in the leadoff spot and Torri batting 2nd with Hamilton destroying the lineup for someone else.

Hamilton 0-4 2k's real easy one.

I don't see this team getting better. This is just like last season. As soon as the middle of the order decides to hit for a month the starting pitching or the bullpen will implode for a month. 

Josh Hamilton and Albert Pujols got paid. They are on the final big contract they will ever receive in this lifetime. They have 0 incentive to improve. This is the team and we are stuck with it for years to come. This team is like last years team, except we have Blanton instead of Greinke.

Why did Dipoto not see this? The dudes K rate has been on the rise year after year. His sabermetrics were a red flag and anybody with some knowledge of the game knew he was not going to be anywhere near worth what he is paid. He is the reason the Angels starting staff is weak. Well him and Poopholes. We have 50million dollars a year tied up in a middle of the order that isnt even as good as the Baltimore Orioles. How many more years will we let Dipoto destroy this team before he gets let go? We fire coaches and now Scoscia is on the line so I guess we going to fire him now too? I guess we all blame Scoscia while that idiot at the front office is the one who has traded away our prospects and wasted money on overpaid washed up over the hill talent. Anyways, I created an account now so I could spew my hatred for Dipoto and the middle of the Angels order, particularly Pujols and Hamilton. The best players on the team continue to be home grown talent in Trout Trumbo and Kendrick as expected. This team is screwed for many years. Many Many years. We need a real GM.
