  1. The Angels need a left fielder.  Common knowledge.  But there are a few things about Cespedes that really are bothersome.  Oakland was making a run at the AL West, and in the heat of the race, Oakland trades Cespedes.  Detroit is looking like it has a chance and then all of a sudden they trade Cespedes.  Why?  This man has so much baggage.  Do you really want a big gun left fielder who isn't even liked by his teammates?  Who has proven to throw errant shots from the outfield?

The lack of Angels hitting in 2015 stems from not having a real hitting coach.  The material was there, but Don Baylor has never shown he can translate his hitting ability into instruction.  Let's give this team a chance.  I am so afraid that we are so anxious to put a big name in left field that we will create another Josh Hamilton scenario.

  2. We needed pitching and had a logjam of 1B/DH players, and Morales was a year away from being gone anyways.  Would things be any different if Morales were here instead of Vargas?  I highly doubt it.

I agree with this, but don't you think Morales was worth a better pitcher.  Yes, Morales is represented by Scott Board-ass.

  3. Blanton had a rocky start on Mon. night.  But the fact is he did have a three run lead.  Then a solid single and a bloop single.  Exit Blanton and in comes De La Rosa who promptly gives up a walk and an RBI single.  The two runs get charged to Blanton.

The fact is that a true reliever (something that is rare in Anaheim) should have stopped the Rangers without scoring.  Afterall, his arm is fresh, he is being seen for the first time that night.

Don't ever trust ERA's they don't reflect the true story.

BTW, the Angel position players need make the pitching staff and especially the relievers, take a separate plane on road trips.  Because these guys aren't acting like they want to pitch in the major leagues and most of them are a big waste of a uniform.

  4. How long is this going to last?  I mean, Scioscia and Dipoto HAVE to go, don't they?  Artie has to see it.

In fairness to Scioscia, he did not pick this pitching staff.  Remember how much control he used to have over player personel before Dipoto came on board?  So don't dump on Mike so quickly.
