  1. I think a mystery DL stint is due right about now. Go with something like fatigue, maybe even vaginitis. Then again, Pujols was just as bad at the start and he doesn't go on tears like Hamilton does and he still hit 30 home runs and almost .300. My faith is fading fast.
  2. Rex is amazing. Living in KC sucks with the halos playing so late, but if I'm desperate for a game, I can always listen to the wonder dog! I love hoe much the fans out here hate him though. It's comical. It could be Vin Scully though and they would loathe him, he replaced their precious Frank White.
  3. The home run derby destroyed him last year, as long as he doesn't do it this year, he has the power to produce all year, let's hope he can. What would be ideal is if they juggled the batting order for the time being and made it look like this. Trout CF Hamilton RF Pujols DH/1B Trumbomb 1B/DH Kendrick 2B Aybar SS Ianneta C Jimenez 3B Shuck LF Get Trout back to leadoff and force pitchers to throw some actual pitches to Hamilton by giving Trout the green light. Once he gets hot, drop him down to four, shift everyone down, and bring Aybar to the two hole. You won't intentionally walk Hamilton to get to Pujols, but you would to get to Kendrick, which happens if he is in five hole. All he needs is a little confidence boost right now, anyone got a bump or a filled shot glass we can bring to him? Always seems like he has a slip up when he does well or right before it.
  4. My apologies, ballot. Phone decided to change it. Ervin Santana has to be next right?
  5. Give ME a break. You guys are so quick to hate on this team, why don't you just go root for a new team since you clearly can't ever be happy with this one. A 20-0 win would be greeted with "Hamilton struck out twice, when he hit three homers" it's ridiculous. You don't think pitchers spent a little extra time preparing for Trout over the off season, especially since they finally got film on him? So sorry he isn't hitting .400 with 30 steals 10 homers and 30 RBIs yet. Oh wait, that still wouldn't be enough for some of you. Calm down and have a snickers.
  6. He's a jorneyman at best so why does it matter? Watching ESPN today, they have basically acted like he is a first ballet hall of famer for being so brave. They don't talk about his stats of course, they talk about, "how great of a teammate he is" or how hard he works. He played 38 games this year, he was HARDLY in the league. Now if it were a legit superstar, then talk about it, but it shouldn't matter. Then again the NBA is a joke with the most crooked commissioner in sports, referees playing the spread, and players admitting they don't try during the regular season. Goodell would also never fine the Patriots for having Tom Brady, Gronk, and Hernandez sit out a game either, and then let the 49ers sit Kapernick, Willis, Aldon Smith, and Gore without a fine. Since that totally makes sense. David Stern is trash and so is the league, let me know when they start call traveling again, since every player carries the ball over on every dribble. Should be called the National "Basketball" Association.
  7. The city of Cleveland begs to disagree. As well as Kansas City, Cincinnati, Portland, Buffalo, and countless others. It could be much worse.
  8. Firing Scioscia is essentially throwing the towel in on the season, especially since Butcher would be the likely replacement at this point in time. You can't bring in someone who is foreign to the system and expect immediate results, so unless it is someone who knows the team well, there will still be big problems. Something needs to be done, if it's firing Butcher, well Scioscia just lost his last buddy and then it's him, if it is him who is gone, well been a nice ride. I'm not against firing Scioscia, as long as the right person is brought in to immediately take over, no interim coach or any of that.
  9. Would all those calling for his head actually be happy or would they just move on down the line for people to blame for a bad game/season/inning whatever it is. It basically feels like (after reading comments on facebook and several threads on here) that people are just saying fire him to basically hear themselves talk. Was the first fire Scioscia comment made after the first ball Weaver threw in Cincinnati since he clearly used his powers to move the ball out of the strike zone? The team sucks right now, that is obvious. With no pitching depth and the lack of a minor league support system, you can't win. Giving up 16 runs to the Twins in two games is all but an automatic loss. Bad moves, trading Ervin was a HUGE mistake, despite his rough stretches, he was semi consistent. Hamilton will get a bump from his old buddy Ron Washington when they hang out and then he will start mashing the ball again, in between strike outs of course. Tough scheduling, injuries, and poor off season transactions don't mix well for the beginning of a season. I bet if the team went on a 20 game win streak and then lost one, everyone would be saying fire Scioscia after that one loss. We get it, you don't like him. This time next year, if he is fired, he will be in Yankee stadium and all the Yankee fans will be crying the same thing and everyone will be crying about whoever the new manager is, regardless of who it is.
