Oh it's over alright

Paying these guys hundreds of millions of dollars to hit pop ups and ground outs to garbage pitchers. Bunch of ****ing losers, pathetic. Have a nice offseason losers. 

I feel pretty good. We SUCKED last year. it was hard to watch and it was embarrassing. 

We just lost 2 very close games IN Oakland (where we have generally struggled mightily) and we are TIED FOR FIRST. We knew we had to win in Boston just for this reason- and we did- and here we are still in good position. We would be back 2 games if we hadn't won that series. 

It could be so much worse. 

I'm not going to start crying unless the 4 home games against the A's go really poorly next weekend. 

Its much more than just these last few games. Look at how bad the Angels record is against the As and Os, two teams they are sure to see if they make the playoffs, Hard to be optimistic when they have been owned by both teams this year. 

This team is now 3-8 against the As. Absolutely pathetic. Not even going to win the division at this rate much less a playoff series.

seartle was like 2 games behind us a week and a half back. We took 2 out of 3. 3 out of 4 from detroit.

Will the dodgers not make the playoffs either? They went 2 and 6 against pittsburg and st lou last week before sweeping the giants...should they be as worried?

The Angels have now lost 4 out of 5 to the Orioles in the last week and a half and can't beat Oakland. Two teams they need to beat to even make the playoffs. 4-10 against the As and Orioles this year is pathetic. Im just saying, they better start turning it around like tomorrow if they even want to entertain the idea of the playoffs. 

You mean if the ANGELS make it. They can't beat any of the top teams except Detroit lately. Not exactly convincing. 

Yep. Sucks that they lost another series to the O's but so far they are still 2.5 games back. Just need to stay within 3 games IMO by the time they face Oakland and they'll have done their job. Anything better is a bonus

 

this is a brutal stretch for the team, but they need to battle through it. Doesn't get any easier when they take on the Rays next, who have been the best team in baseball over the last 27 or so games...then they have 4 against the Dodgers, facing Greinke and Kershaw in LA.

They can't beat Oakland, they can't even beat Baltimore, so it really doesn't matter.

Yep. All the wins against garbage teams don't matter if you can't beat Baltimore and Oakland. Angels can't beat either one. 

Pretty bad so far. These are the teams the Angels need to beat if they want to be taken seriously in the AL race. They are about to lose their 3rd of 4 games so far with the Orioles. 

Great effort tonight, lets keep this up!

You simply cannot claim Miggy is on PEDs without any evidence, at least have circumstantial evidence.

Hes gone from about 195 pounds to right around 280 pounds in like 8 years. You know who else did that? Barry Bonds. Went from like 180-255 and both their numbers elevated rather suspiciously. Its plain as day hes juicing. 

I am not one to have a knee-jerk reaction and start calling for people to be fired after a stretch of bad games. However, given the past 5-6 years and after the disaster that was last season and this season looking to end even worse, combined with the talent and payroll of this team, how is Scioscia still managing here? I cant think of another sport a coach/manager would be kept on this long with his very talented and very expensive team performing so pathetically. Its not like baseball runs on a complicated system of plays like football or basketball where you would have to worry about players learning a new offense or defense etc...Is Artie so tight with Scioscia that he can bring himself to fire him and bring in someone else? Lets just let the whole team go down and shrug it off. Pretty ridiculous. 

How do you only score THREE runs over 2 games and lose a series to the Astros? The Angels are for sure the worst team in the league. Pathetic losers, what a joke of a team. 

Hes definitely on some PEDs, oh and if he came to the Angels, he would all of the sudden turn into a .230 20HR hitter. The marine layer is no joke

Said the same thing about Pujols this time last year and he ended up batting .285 with 30 HRs and 105 RBI. Albert was actually playing worse last year then Hamilton is now. Hamilton is streaky, not worried a bit.
