  1. You could make an argument for Cogs being the Ducks best player this year.  He has been so crucial for the Ducks in so many different aspects of the game.  So happy he signed the extension midseason.  I'll be getting a new jesery soon to replace my Bobby jersey and it's either gonna be Cogs or Lindholm.

That is funny, I'm in the same situation.  I have a Ryan jersey and wanted to replace it with either a cogs or lindholm.  I was leaning more towards Cogs since I wore #7 when I played.

  2. the guys on nbcsn were saying that the Kings are the team no one wants to play in the first round. that was nice to hear (and let's hope it's true).

As a Ducks fan I wouldn't mind facing the kings in the first round.  We need a playoff match up to bring our rivalry to the next level.  The only thing that worries me facing the kings is the physical play.  You know whatever team moves on in that match up is going to have some injuries to deal with.

  3. I hate TWC and I hated Uverse.  I thought Uverse had better customer service but I would lose cable and internet randomly all the time.  TWC I have found to be way more reliable and if you contact their Executive care team at TWC.COTP@twcable.com you get much better responses to your problem.  If it wasnt for sports I would get rid of cable completely

  4. Don't know if it counts for this thread but I saw Book of Mormon at the Pantages.  First off, I love that theater.  It's a show in itself just sitting in your seat and looking around before the play starts.  As for the play...by far the funniest play I've ever seen.  Well-acted, the stage dynamics are a treat to watch (how seamlessly they transition from scene to scene), good story, just a great play all the way around.  Highest recommendation, with the caveat that it has repeated usage of words I've never heard uttered in a play before.

Nice!  Im looking forward to seeing it in a few weeks

  5. midnight in paris (woody allen movie).

figured it would be just another good woody allen witty romantic comedy, but i thought it was awesome.

the trailer doesnt mention the fun history side whatsoever, so it was much better than i expected.

cute flick, definitely recommend to the any history/music/art buffs.

Im not a fan of most Allen films but this one was fun.

  6. When I was in high school 2000-2004 I had to go to shortstop. It’s like a scared straight program where you visit a prison and talk to some of the inmates. I got in trouble for antiquing an older classmen in front of a grocery store. As my friends and I were driving away someone yelled out the window that it was Anthrax. A good samaritan saw/heard us and got our license plate number and called the cops.  We were all arrested the next day at school for terrorism!  I was scared sh**less because the cops kept reminding us that terrorism carried a conviction of a life sentence. Since it was not actually anthrax and we all denied that we were the ones that called it anthrax our punishment was reduced to attending a shortstop class and community service.

Oh just to clarify, to antique someone is to throw flour on them

  7. I don't trust the word of drunk 22 y/os.  Yeah, he wouldn't exaggerate the cops' actions, or minimize his own.

A broken arm and rib are not exaggerations.  He wasnt charged with anything else besides drunk in public so what justified their force?  Hey I agree that my buddy was young and dumb but that is excessive any way you look at it.

  8. I respect cops, they put their lives on the line everyday and are an important part of our society but their power needs to have boundries.  I have a buddy that was arrested for drunk in public in Fullerton.  While being arrested he tried to prevent them from putting the cuffs on him.  He didnt attack them or anything but pulled away several times.  While at the station he was in a cell by himself.  He says he was laying on the floor freezing so he started yelling for a blanket.  He said his calls went unanswered for over an hour when finally two cops came and opened up his cell, threw a cup of water on him and started kicking him while he was on the ground. They were kicking him so hard that when he blocked a kick to the ribs with his arm they fractured his arm.  He filed a law suit against fullerton pd and lost.  He was a drunk 22 y/o and they broke his arm and fractured a rib.  It just isnt right.
