I know I don't get why they would paint over it! What a bunch of dopes if anything should it have increased their homes value! 

Yes, the Angels beat writer confirmed that his signing didn't increase the amount of  Angels tv contract at all. 

Really which Angels beat writer was it? I just find it hard to believe it didn't help the deal at least a little bit. With Tanaka we're talking about advertising dollars and exposing the Angels product to a different market.  

A lot of fans were saying the same type of thing after Pujols signed with the Angels. Does that really make a difference (don't use the tv contract as an example, because  that's not true. The tv contract was a done deal before Pujols signed with the Angels)?

Really and you know for a fact the Pujols signing had nothing to due with the dollar amount the Angels received from the T.V. deal? Even if you don't use that example the Japanese adverting dollars will be there with Tanaka. The guy is a rock star in Japan! Artie might not be a great baseball man but he is a great businessman. If signing Tanaka makes financial sense he will do what he has to do to get a deal done. 

I'm all for the Angels getting Tanaka! Not only for on the field which is obviously what this team severely lacks but, as an investment for Artie it makes sense with all the Japanese dollars they would get. I understand the halos don't want to go over the luxury tax but the revenue they would generate with Tanaka would be worth the tax. It would also give them more cash for a trout extension not that Artie really needs it.

I hope the Halos win this offseason too however I hope we don't know it till half way through the season! If they can acquire 2 pitchers to keep Blanton out of the rotation that would be a huge win for the offseason. Maybe they can have Blanton pickup trash around the Big A to earn some of that cash he's getting!
