I don't think he used steroids when he was here in Texas. He was getting drug tested three times a week here and probably still is. I believe it is part of his reinstatement.
Hamilton was banned from baseball in 2003 for drug and alcohol use while in the Tampa Bay organization. He was reinstated in 2006 and is drug-tested three times a week.Anyways, I'm glad we have a compensatory 1st round pick today (from Hamilton) leaving us with two firsts this year. The Angels, however, do not have a single first round pick today.

Fire Sale.
Who would want any of those contracts?
-
It's just adderall, but still somehow this dumbass tested positive for a drug that clears your system in two days. Nice!
It's not that big of a deal though, tons of people take adderall.

Swept by the Astros at home.

i wonder if texas ranger fans constantly post threads about this guy getting away?
Not really. We're fine without him. Mitch has stepped it up lately.
It would be nice to have his production obviously but I don't care as long as we win.
-
Yeah, don't forget Lindblom.
LOL
He'll be aight. I was expecting to use him as a reliever but whatever.
-
I don't think Lowe is going to see many big league hitters anytime soon
Yep he just got sent down today.

Joe Ortiz. Sure, he's the youngest arm in the bullpen, but lefties are 4-31 (.129) against him so far this year.
A W's a W, though, and damn that had to have been the most exciting game I've attended in a long time. Cabrera at his best is a sight to behold.
Gotta say I'd sure like to see Pujols have a 3-homer game or two against the A's in the near future...
Hambone's 4 homer game was insane. I was also at the game in center field when he hit the two run walk off against the Jays last season in extra innings down 1. Last nights game had everything in terms of pure excitement. When the Smurph hit that homer it sounded crazy in that stadium.
We couldn't thrown anything at Cabrera last night, he was so dialed in. Not swinging at anything outside the zone and hitting everything in the zone, just crazy. In terms of the walk Cabrera and pitch to Fielder situation I think Wash handled it correctly. Maybe he brought in the wrong lefty but sometimes you just have to accept the fact that a damn good hitter did what he is payed to do. Hell, Fielder is hitting .326 vs. lefties and .257 vs. righties so maybe we shouldn't have even brought in a lefty. As long as it isn't Derek Lowe .

They were really shaky in the bottom of the 10th. Pretty terrible error and then boom goes the dynamite.

Oh well he got 5yr / $125.
$30 million is too low though; his past performance called for more than that. But in terms of age, injury history, and drug use he has put on that body 3 years is much better than 5 years.

They get paid to play hard and if you want personality then Bill Murray would be better
Whatever, I love having Washington as manager. He's awesome.
-
You couldnt bring in Ross becuase? Oh he is designated for the last 3 innings. Um ok...extremely high leverage spot that could decide game and you are "forced" to bring in one of your worst relievers. You must think Ron Wash is a genius...
I don't think he's a genius, I just really like him as a manager. I love the way the team plays hard under him and his personality is hilarious.
-
I'd love to see what would happen if a man wore one of these into Rangers Ballpark on the day of a Darvish start.
We'd probably laugh then watch Yu win the game.
-
ron washington is the dumbest manager in baseball. and why the **** couldn't he bring in ross? he brought him in one batter later.
Ah ya my mistake I forgot he pitched last night, and he got the W lmao. So it was a bad decision, whatever. He trusts his players. Why is he the dumbest manager? Our team has been damn good under him.
We love Washington!
-
rangers would have won anyway without the tigers' bad defense. washington is so stupid so that he tried to give the game back by bringing in kirkman with the bases loaded. and you guys think scioscia is bad.
lol who else do you bring in? He couldn't bring in Ross. This team has been to 2 out of the last 3 World Series under him. I love Washington and the way he lets our guys play freely. You can keep Scioscia.

Rangers disabled list:
AJ Pierzynski
Ian Kinsler
Martin Perez
Alexei Ogando
Colby Lewis
Joakim Soria
Matt Harrison
Neftali Feliz
Perez and Lewis are pitching in the minors now.
Don't forget Lindblom. Kinsler on the DL should be a fun time, because we get to watch Jur-ick-son!

Come to Dallas Howard. No state income tax here!

I can't believe Texas keeps winning. Something in that stinking hick state that gets them going. Can't wait for them to lose in the 1st round of the playoffs again. Sooner or later that is going to bite them in the ass.
It's called defense, pitching, base running. We do all the little things well. Loads of injuries and all they do is churn out W's.
Just wait till we get Harrison, Lewis, Ogando, Kinsler, Feliz, Soria, Lindblom, and AJ back.
-
The .gif of that pitch honestly looks like CGI. If I hadn't seen the video, I would think it was fake. Damn, that was ugly.
Woah it really does.
-
Here's the .gif
Shoppach should catch for him.
-
Can't forget about Washington's reaction.... This is why Wash is the man.
-
hahaha

Last night wasn't as bad a everyone is making it out to be. Yes a loss is a loss BUT we lost that game because Enright and Lowe if Hanson pitched last night we win end of story. So everyone needs to stop companions and think on the bright side. Madsen is back Burnett weaver and bourjos are coming back, trout is back I form and Hamilton is showing signs of his old self. And Blanton sucks.
Rangers lost Harrison, Lewis, now Ogando, Feliz, Lindblom, Soria and they keep winning. The Angels also played against a bad starting pitcher last night.
-
I know losses aren't good but the offense was not bad and we did have our bullpen pitch the whole game.
Offense hit against a starting pitcher with a 5.98 ERA
What were your first reactions?
