ERA 2.06............nuff said.........screw the Haren trade
-
21 runs, 29 hits, the best pitching performance for this game was definitely Coello
-
Sox intentionally walking Hamilton. Wow.
his first of the year!
-
Pujols took about a minute to score from third.
"pujols is an excellent baserunner......." for a tortoise.....
-
Trout is hit twice, and is almost hit on a ball 4. You don't see him acting like a baby walking down the line.
it seems like trout was crowding the plate though ....
-
richards should not be in the bullpen...........
-
Yep.
may blanton never pitch another inning for us again
-
is Coello in line for the win?
-
WHOA! that last curveball by Coello was filthy!
if someone could post a GIF of that would be great......

well than moving forward, what now? should he be kept on a strict innings watch like santana last year? that would be ironic considering he was brought in to eat up innings....
-
I don't think he can be sent down, unless the Angels come up with a fake injury so he can work on things in the minors. I doubt he'll get released this early. He has too much money left on his contract.
wasn't kazmir released with almost $15 million left on his contract? he cant be sent to the bullpen, not with his fat pitches so he is basically wasting a spot on the roster.
-
he has given up more hits than phil humber who was just released....scott kazmir redux?
-
So its was all Arte's fault then for not resigning hunter, greinke and going after Hamilton.....
"In DiPoto’s defense, it should be noted that it was Moreno who made the decision to cut ties with Torii Hunter, the longtime fan favorite and galvanizing force in the Angel clubhouse, and Moreno who made the decision not to spend the money on Greinke, when it was pitching the Angels needed to get last winter, and Moreno who made the decision to spend it instead on Hamilton."

I guess its not that easy being the yankees .....injuries to your SS, 1st base, CF, 3rd base, a monster contract weighing you down, an aging closer coming back from knee surgery and still you find a way to contend in the the east......
We angels tried the yankees approach of big money signing and flopped ....heck the yanks even stole vernon wells from us with the performance he's giving them now while we foot the lion's share of his contract!
I think the whole angry Arte / rotating carousel of GM's / Scioscia incompetence fiasco should highlight what a difference a competent front office can do to an organization. The yankees just seem like a well run professional MLB team while we look like clowns.

One of the worst years of draft picks followed by one of the best (as in two starting major league-rs and a possible one if he was still alive)
