Peter Bourjos (hamstring) continues to receive treatment in Arizona, and will rejoin the team when they return to Anaheim on Monday.

Even the most optimistic of time frames have Bourjos returning to the lineup at the end of May or beginning of June. Hamstring injuries can be extremely detrimental to players like Bourjos who rely so heavily on their speed, as they tend to linger and pose a high re-injury risk. J.B. I think he was supposed to be sidelined 6-8 weeks after he broke the hamate bone on Salt Lake's Opening Day. Plus presumably rehab time after that.

 

And that injury is supposedly rough on a hitter's power for a little while after as well.

He was solid in 2011 with regular playing time, not as good with sporadic AB's in 2012, and well on his way to another solid season this year with regular playing. I don't get your hatred for Bourjos MHD.

Holy Smokes MHD, you're really going to bash on Bourjos when he's hurt, yet was the best hitter in April and has a completely different approach from spring on.....?!?! While totally throwing out Bourjos' 2011 season and his scouting report.
