Hopefully the Angels have done their homework, because the international scene and the regularly scheduled June Amateur draft are going to be the only ways for the Angels to build a contender.

I've talked to a scout on the 2013 class.

 

He described it as a lot of OFs and IFs and few project-able pitchers.  Mayky Perez and Marcos Diplan are the only 2 pitchers who are creating buzz in the DR.

 

The Angels are going to be aggressive this year, or so I hear.

As aggressive as the rules I laid out above will let them at least. We need to be active in this area if we want to rebuild that farm system anytime soon.
