  1. I agree wholeheartedly. There isn't a magical line anywhere to make it easier. McGwire has many more strikes against them than just alleged PED use as well. Can't ignore the fact he was a very one-dimensional player. Same reason I would push Kent off for future decision also.
  2. Top-10 (in alphabetical order): Jeff Bagwell Craig Biggio Barry Bonds Roger Clemens Tom Glavine Greg Maddux Tim Raines Curt Schilling Frank Thomas Alan Trammell If the ballot was larger than 10: Edgar Martinez Fred McGriff Mike Mussina Rafael Palmeiro Mike Piazza Haven't made up my mind on these guys: Jeff Kent Don Mattingly Mark McGwire Lee Smith Larry Walker
  3. Without a statistical basis, it's just a guessing game
  4. Depends where the Angels are around the deadline. Problem is, you let him go and the Angels will need at least two more SP's in free agency again. Jerome Williams is also a free agent to be I believe.
  5. Is it an organizational philosophy to draft the best player available, certain positions have higher priority, or players that might make it to MLB faster?
  6. From the Halos Nation Facebook page: "You can raise your own bacon from piglet to butcher's block."
  7. I wish I could say this was an isolated incident. We had one upset guy on the Halos Nation Facebook page last night who experienced something eerily similar. If ushers are this frustrated and pulling power trips on the first day of the regular season, how are they going to be in July when it's 95 degrees out?
  8. The simplified delivery is a great point! I was a little surprised that Victor Rojas and Mark Gubicza didn't mention it last night when they were talking about Cueto turning into Tiant. Weaver's gone the complete opposite with his delivery, though keeping the across-the-body finish. Weaver used to almost completely turn his back to the catcher. Kudos to Dream Weave for being able to find something more simple and repeatable while becoming an even better pitcher.
  9. I agree. The fact he got a lot stronger as the game went along said a lot to me as well.
  10. Thank you for that Chuck! I won't hold this one person's unapologetic behavior against you and the other great folks at AngelsWin.
  11. Unfortunately age evidently doesn't equal maturity. People expect better from a supposed "moderator." Keep it classy!
  12. Then you should have said so. Replying to someone's post makes them think you are replying to them, especially when using the singular "you" in the response. The implied language and excessive use of question marks and exclamation points only further leads to a defensive reaction from the person you replied to.
  13. Easy there Tiger. Step down from the ledge. I was just making the general point that everyone's velocity was down and that making a big deal out of Weaver after that one start that affected everybody might be a little rush to judgment. Just like your post was.
  14. Everybody's velocity was down according to the TV/stadium gun. Well, except for Jepsen. Chapman didn't even hit 98 MPH.

  16. Definitely not! Unless you really want to. Then maybe.
  17. There is no doubt about that one! We have a tailgate for Mike Trout Bobblehead Night and we are expecting nearly 100 people, and that is just those that have bothered to register!
  18. So excited to be joining forces! Halos Nation is THE largest Angels fan page on Facebook, and we were the original fan page going back to the MySpace days. This is just another step in the evolution for us!
