Joyce had a decent-ish May.  In June, he's back down to .173/.295/.269.  Is that "better" than his April?  Yep.  Still stinks.  And there are certainly examples of guys who just lose it for seemingly no particular reason.  We're not talking about a Miguel Cabrera here, anyway.  We're talking about a guy who had a couple of okay seasons 3-4 years ago.

I'm not saying anything about the trade. I'm just happy for Peter. He's a good kid and I'm glad he's helping them win. It didn't look that way coming out of spring training.

Again, you're wrong. Among other things, my company uses tweets to predict movie box office, assess sentiment towards upcoming releases, measure impact of marketing messages, etc. If you know what to look for, there's a wealth of information available.

I truly don't understand why you seem to feel the need to take up for Josh Hamilton and to try to make others feel sympathetic toward him. He is an adult, he is paid very well to play a sport, his physical health is paramount to his performance, and he has shown a pattern of retreating to things that damage it. It is simply a poor choice of coping mechanisms. The key word there is choice. Nobody is forcing him to use drugs, and he has no shortage of resources around him. If he made people aware that he was having difficulty dealing with anything, the club and/or his teammates would help him. However, they aren't mind readers.

I would suggest what you have advocated for a drug addict is extremely hurtful to them. Josh needs to learn there are consequences for his choices. That's called adulthood.

Once he is cleared physically for play by the medical staff he only has to accept a minor league rehab assignment for 20 days before being activated on the 25 man roster.

I'm guessing his AVG goes back up this year, and that his power dips just a little. I also expect he will steal 20-25 bags, but won't ever approach 40/50 again. I think stealing bases is hard on a body and he's been told to pick and choose his spots more carefully.

My family/friends in NYC refer to the Angels as the LA Angels.  My co-workers in Chicago refer to the Angels as the LA  Angels.   Everyone I speak to in FL about baseball calls them the LA Angels.    Yeah, online articles love to make fun of the name, and yeah.... opposing fans always reach for the low hanging fruit but the vast majority of the world moved on from the "of Anaheim" years ago.

Don't get me wrong yk, I get why some are still pissed.  But I don't think it's the same for people not emotionally attached to the team around the country.

It is pretty much worthless for me since the blackouts for home games eliminate half of the games.
