I am having a tough time today. I knew him best from 2005-2011ish. When you get married and have kids, your priorities change and you lose touch with some and with others, you correspond less and less frequently. You think you're doing the right thing - pouring your life into your wife and kids because "that's the way it goes." Everyone understands that, right? Well fuck man. While I didn't fully lose touch with him - we texted about superficial nonsense once in a while - I certainly wasn't there for him. I will say this. Whatever perception people had of Brandon, I knew him as an aspirational, big-hearted soul who had the courage to be vulnerable in intimate (no gay) situations. He was a better friend to me than I was to him. I'm guessing many others would feel the same.

I’m pretty bummed. I’ve known something was up for a few years now but he never shared the details. Should’ve texted him more often. I will never forget the weekend we spent in San Francisco (no gay) many years ago. When I have more time I will share the story of that weekend here. It was pretty epic

In So Cal we play at super nice place and super shitty places. The CO tournament was in Aspen and Snowmass. We played on 3 different fields. This was the only turf field. Most places we use portable mounds and temp or no fences.

If they lock up ohtani what is the path for them to contend in the next few years? I do not see one. if they trade ohtani and get 3+ future regulars / 1+ all star the path is pretty clear.
