I'm a big Bobby fan like you Cory (obviously with the same name and all) but after looking into it I really like this trade. The Ducks have sooooo much young talent right now, they are positioned very well for the next 4-5 years assuming they get one of the two goalies signed to an extension at some point. Looks like we are all rooting against the Senators! Hopefully they tank this year and that turns into a top 5 pick!

Murray is building the Ducks to be a contender for years to come. Even though Bobby was one of my favorites, I really like this trade as there is no way he was going to resign when his contract was up and he really had a shitty season last year. Along with what you said about Etem's emergence, this frees up more cap space to sign Teemu +1 other player I assume.
