Eh sucks that we lost but we’re still around first and .500 in a year we shouldn’t be, in the midst of a really rough schedule month. And there were a lot of positives today with Soriano, O’Hoppe and Moniak homering, and the guys at least hanging in there. Should have won the game, but they still had some wins in there. Fulmer got the loss, yeah, but between last outing and the start of this one, he looks like he could be handy to have if they don’t DFA him tomorrow for a fresh arm.
Seeing Soriano potentially become a starter and O’Hoppe continuing to prove he could be a legit star on both sides of the plate matters a lot more than one win to me this year.

It’s an identity crisis, and it’s an Angel flaw. Same thing Matt Thais went through after being drafted. They draft a pure hitter and on base machine, and rather than understanding and fostering what they have, they plant the ideas in their head about being a power hitting 1B.
 It just isn’t who he is, and what you end up with is a broken hitter with no power rather than what you drafted in the first place. Sane thing happened with Cron, Thaiss and Ward. As soon as they took their careers into their own hands and stopped trying to change, their careers improved. 
 
Schanuel needs to go back to basics like last year and forget this concept of turning on the ball with authority. Just keep slapping it to all fields and milking your way on base. Don’t be who the Angels wish you were and be yourself. If they don’t like it, then it’s their fault, they shouldn’t have drafted you.

I'm waiting for Ohtani to press charges on e-pay for stealing 18% of his personal income if this bank account was created in 2018. For his Major League Salary (2018-2024 via Spotrac) totaling 545k, 650k, 259k, 3M, 5.5M, 30M, 2M = 41,954,259M since the account was created. And 15-18% equalling 16M was removed. 
1. Ohtani personal banking account NOT a sponship or endorsement account. Meaning accountants would had known! 
2. Does Ohtani do his own taxes on his salary personal account?
3. Ohtani never got a receipt at an ATM or looked at his personal salary account in 5 years. The last 3 that 16M was missing?

Do you ever apply the sniff test to anything in life?  Do you ever wonder why I’m always right in these type of things and you are initially and adamantly wrong but then have to concede that I (and Lou) was (were) right?
The point is, use logic, don’t automatically listen to what you’re told.  For Ohtani to be totally innocent, then massive failures would have had to have occurred on so many levels that it’s either a lie or it’s incompetence on a historic level.  
I loved Ohtani as an Angel.  I, like I’m sure everyone else here, was bummed he left (and to the f’ing Dodgers).  Is that clouding my judgment?  Maybe.  But not likely.  Not with with what we know now.
