Coal is dying because natural gas is cheaper and better for the environment. At some point folks will be honest with coal miners and let them know those jobs aren't coming back. Or maybe a better statement is at some point people in those states will accept reality. 
Tough for those communities, but the market has spoken.

Trump has to be viewed as Trump, not the consequences of removing him from office. I think Pence would be a disaster, maybe more so than Trump because his mouth wouldn't get in the way.
This isn't a question of party, but rather the future of the Republic. If his campaign colluded with the Russians, whether he knew about it or not, that needs to be known. If he is compromised by the Russians, that absolutely has to be known. If Kushner/Flynn were working back channel deals to gain financing of Kushner and/or Trump properties (keep your eye on that one by the way, Kushner family has some serious financial issues)...that has to be known. If he fired Comey and has tried to obstruct the investigation, that has to be known.If it is found out any of the above happened, and the Republicans turn a blind eye to it...they too should be held accountable. If Trump or his campaign is involved in any of the things being discussed, you have to deal with that, regardless of what you think about a potential President Pence.

It's not just Ford, companies like Exxon were lobbying the US to stay as well as they understand the potential impact has on not just the US, but the global economy. 
US continues to cede leadership on key issues, allowing countries like China to take on a larger role. Hard to imagine just how shortsighted this is when it comes to who owns and builds future energy technologies. If the US thought it was a bad deal or adjustments were made, having a seat at the table would have allowed them to continue having those discussions.

I don't think anyone on the left is "back" to loving Comey. You can think Comey was terrible at his job, and on many occasions he has shown he was not up to the task, and still be incredibly alarmed at why and how he was fired.
If Trump had taken office in January and fired Comey, that would be one thing. If Sessions hadn't applauded Comey for his actions in October, and then used that as justification for his firing months later...that would be another thing. Word is he wanted Comey fired last week and this was the most politically expedient...and in reality expert trolling...reason for firing him.
Comey, for all his faults, was the one "independent" person in the administration who was heading up an investigation into the president. That no longer exists.
Maybe he goes out and appoints a well liked independent career law enforcement office...or maybe he goes out and appoints Rudoloph or Sheriff Clarke...hell, isn't Araparaio out of work right now?

I'm hearing how good the DLCs are. Just got to Novigrad a few days ago. These giant open world games are so funny because like in real life, after being out in the wild (killing ghouls and such) for days and days and days, it's kind of nice to get into a big city. But after a few days of exploring and doing quests in the city you're almost itching to get back out in the wild to go back to killing things again.
