I have more of an issue with Ned Stark's pious bullshit. He allowed Jon Snow to make a life commitment to the Watch while continuing to deny him the truth about his lineage. "I'll tell you next time we meet", gee thanks dad. He lied to his wife, allowing her to hate on the kid for his entire life under false assumptions. He was a terrible player of the game as shown in his conversation with Cersei, but he was also a terrible player with a family who put them at risk for no gain. How honorable is that?

No one is perfect. Ned made decisions on what he thought was right. It got him killed. The end.

The Arthur Dayne fight didn't disappoint.

Ned gave Jaime Lannister a hard time about stabbing the mad king in the back but I bet he didn't mind when howland reed did the same thing to save his own ass. Jaime had good reason to do it too.

Sure there is honor in not stabbing someone in the back when you are fighting, but if you can't see that there's an epic difference in what Jaime Lannister did and what Howland Reed did then I don't know what to tell you.

  3. Yo Schil (and book readers)

    Spoiler for possible spoilers?

I read a theory on how we might get a "The North Remembers..." type of scene. Word is one of the Umbers (littlejon?) comes to meet with Ramsay next episode with a kid who the Umbers will tell him is Rickon but is actually another kid. That satisfies the fake Arya part of the books. The Umbers come in favor with Ramsay but since Greatjon is still held captive by the Freys, Littlejon is the show version of Wyman and has the epic "The North Remembers/Mummers Farce" speech.

  4. Brandon is still holding on to Jon Snow being dead for good and or not going to be on the show anymore?

He was one of the first names in the opening credits. Surely they will put his name on the opening credits of the season if he's only in the first episode...

He's going to come back to life via magic. Stop telling yourself otherwise.

  5. You're absolutely right Ray. Most people would skip over him when talking about great concerts. He was by far the most entertaining person I've ever seen. Played like 2 hours, outfit changes for every song, band sounded incredible. Had a smile on my face the whole time.
