  1. Whirlwind of deals! Getting tired of hitting F5! Let's go Eppy!
  2. Something something weightless treadmill.
  3. WTF!?!? I'll be at the game tomorrow, guess I get to see John Lamb....

  5. Does the 2010 Home run derby count? I remember seeing some absolute bombs there. I thought someone hit one into the second deck down the LF line.
  6. What happened to the guy that predicted the trade? That was pretty impressive. I missed that when it originally happened.
  7. "Albert is so old that he pulled a muscle trying to lift the Jug to his mouth" - Calzone
  8. I watched the A's broadcast up here in Nor Cal for the opening series, and they had Dallas Braden down in the well, doing the same 3-man stuff. Braden is pretty annoying. Not sure if the plan is to have Mota down there for every game, but at least he left in the 7th inning to get ready for the post-game show. I like Victor and Gubi, but every time they went to Mota for his thoughts I felt like it really interrupted the flow of the commentary because of Mota's language barrier.
  9. Ha, I actually meant Shoemaker. I would have loved to see Ohtani but can't do the Easter game.
  10. Anyone else unable to currently watch either of the two live games on MLB.TV? Getting a "No available content for this game" error. Afraid I'm gonna keep getting that when the Angels game starts. Couldn't get the day off today, but I'll be in Oakland on Saturday to watch Shoe live.
  11. Something something yacht fuel, something something Pujols
  12. Interesting quote. The way I'm interpreting the article, that could result in the Angels being forced to make a pitching change. If he does that twice in the same inning, or if he does it after another player or coach already visited the mound in that ining. I am curious if that's really the case: "That means going forward, a mound visit will include visits by coaches and managers, as well as visits by other players. If the catcher goes to the mound, it counts as a visit. If an infielder goes to the mound, it counts as a visit. Also, the second mound visit of an inning requires a pitching change. That remains the same"
  13. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/mlb-pace-of-play-rule-changes-mound-visit-limits-no-pitch-clocks-shorter-commercials/ Didn't see this posted. Looks like it will be 6 total mound visits for a 9 inning game, which includes visits from the catcher or any other player. 1 additional visit per inning for extra inning games. A pitching change must still occur on the 2nd visit of the inning. This seems like a pretty big change. After the 6th visit, the Umpire has discretion to allow additional visits by the catcher following a cross-up. Commercial breaks have also been shortened by 20 seconds.
  14. I've been to the Coliseum a few times and have never really had any issues there. Moved to the Sacramento area in 2016 so the Coliseum is obviously the closest stadium for me to see a road game. Went to opening day last year, and didn't have any issues at all. Just some light ribbing, there was a decent amount of Angel fans there. They also retired Rickey's number before the game, which was cool. My wife had never been there before. When we got off the freeway and could just barely see the edge of the coliseum off in the distance, I pointed to it and sarcastically said "There's the stadium, isn't it beautiful!?". She thought I was kidding. "Wait, that big ugly concrete thing is really the stadium!? Seriously!?". There was also a huge banner hanging on the side of the stadium that said "WELCOME TO THE HOME OF"....the rest of the banner was blank. I should have taken a picture of that. I also went to the Coliseum back in 2008 with a buddy of mine. It was a getaway day game and the stadium was practically empty. We were sitting like 10 rows from the field up the first base line. My buddy got TWO foul balls that day, both of them landed way up above us and just rolled down the steps to us because there was no one there to grab them. Good times.
