It's funny you guys are still arguing with mt...  He makes assumptions and statements based on no knowledge of Police-proceedure.  Then one of us comes-back with a logical fact, and he screams that it has no bearing on the case...

He's arguing like a defense attorney who has no affirmative defense; just muddy the waters with MMQ/second-guessing.

Are there ACTUAL Biden voters Here?!  The only thousand of his voters, worked in the "counting rooms" filling-out ballots and shredding Trump ballots.  There's only "no evidence of voter fraud" if you watch the fake news wing of the hypocrat triangle of corruption: corrupt politicians, big tech censorship, and fake democrat national news covering for them.
Of the "real" Biden voters, anybody having buyers remorse yet?  Or, are you enjoying watching them destroy America?
    God save America.

No, just... no.  If you truly believe this i dont even know what to say, thats a level of denial i can even try to comprehend.
This whole thing grew out of an anti Trump/Rep thing, it has been used to attempt to impeach and disqualify Reps across the board without due process... but when it starting hitting Dems all of a sudden it got softer and people remembered the constitution.
and stop with the you guys, im not Dem or Rep as ive stated many times here, im just not buying into the Dem hypocrisy anymore.  The Reps are who we thought they are, the Dems i expected better than becoming that which they beheld.

Ignore that justice isn't an instant, on the spot when dealing with the police. He was fired immediately. He was charged with murder in the shortest turnaround I've ever read about in police misconduct. They have to go through their procedures, he still has rights that have to be observed.
Now a federal security guard in Oakland is dead, another hospitalized with gunshot wounds and you want to be the rioters advocate playing gotcha games.

Great story regarding this...  My buddy and I usually take-off early on Weds. to hit a bar for some shuffleboard or pool.  We went to play pool, and I see this crazy-looking dude dressed all in black come rolling in after awhile.  There's about 6 people in the bar, including us and the obviously Tinder-matched couple playing the other pool table.  Well, he comes strolling over to our game after stink-eyeing us from afar for awhile.  I pretty much immediately recognized him from arresting him the week before for a restraining order violation against his own family (he has threatened to shoot or stab his cousin).
He says to me, "You look familiar to me."  I said, "Well, if you've been in this bar before you've probably seen us.  We're regulars."  And that was the end of it.  I went into the restroom to relieve myself, and stood sideways fearing he might follow me in there to get stabby.  My buddy ran in instead, and asked if I had my gun.  Told him I didn't, and he ran out to his car to get his!  Nothing happened, and the guy eventually left.
    I don't do much makeup at work, but I'm pretty much bald and wear ball caps outside of work.  8}

Government wants to control information and control language because that's the way you control thought, and basically that's the game they're in.”

Expansion of surveillance aside, it basically comes down to this: certain people in various groups and possibly the government hated Trump's guts, made up a 'dossier' full of lies, then sold it to a judge to get Trump and his associates wiretapped, so some real dirt might be found and discredit his run for the presidency.

Most of our elected officials are perfectly fine with illegal and abusive surveillance against it's citizens. In this case it works out for him politically. When it comes to political gain there isn't very much integrity. If this memo had damning evidence against Trump the Dems would be treating it like the holy grail.

Sad as hell. Anyone getting killed is sad, and its been a bad few weeks for coppers. But this one hits home.
Dude was on his last night of "ghost phase". Meaning his next shift would habe been his first official day on his own. Didnt even get a chance to drive his own car for one night.
RIP to the young man, and prayers for his widow and kids.

It has nothing to do with being in law enforcement. Im old enough to remember the whole thing.
Koresh told his people he was the prophet, the second coming. Talked to god personally. No different than james jones and every other whack job. He portrayed himself the same as muslims view mohammed...
He also had priors for a seperate shootout with his own people, with a hung jury. He was guilty, not convicted...like several other people.
We can agree that the ATF should have grabbed him off his property, and they shit the bed on that. (That wouldnt have taken care of the part where the compound still had scored of illegal munitions). But its just as true that if the davidians were davidian 13, the davidian crips, or the davidian vice lords, they wouldnt have been given 51 days to come out....
As far as other people thinkimg the end is near, you are correct. I dont know how many of them are stockpiling grenades, .50 cal rifles and james paddock modified rifles, though. Or sharing their preteen kids with some 30 year old guy.

Agreed. But from my understanding, theyre arent near as many agents and we'd all think. We had some come by awhile back, talking about ISIS threats, and what theyre doing about it. I want to say they said they only had 500 agents nationwide (field agents). But maybe that just included their terrorism task force people.

Agreed; it is impossible to take all guns away.  There are too many in the hands of criminals, that it would just create more victims.  2A decisions recently have upheld the right pertaining to all firearms and even a stun gun.  I'm for more restrictive gun laws federally, that would overrule States rights.  Some States are silly with their minimum age allowances, and other outdated ideals.  I'd like a solid federal age minimum of 21 to buy/own, along with a background check (which I am pretty flexible about).  I also think the federal law should impose these new laws for concealed-carry reciprocity Nation-wide.
The mental health situation in this Country is out of control.  Fixing it should be one of the highest priorities of Government.  I'd say that close to 75% of Police-related calls involve some kind of mental health issue.  I wouldn't group the "weirdos" in with the high-risk mentally ill, but right now they seem to be treated the same; we keep having the same problems with the high-risk returning to the streets without receiving adequate treatment.  And some of the "weirdos" are allowed to grow into high-risk.
When something insane like this happens, I always turn to my peers and say, "I'm just glad we don't understand it."  I agree it's a fine-line, but not that fine a line.  In most of these cases, the red-flags were there and were either not reported, under-reported, or under-investigated.  As for the under-investigation part of it, I'd lay that blame on this last regime.  They cut staffing, created an atmosphere of demonizing Law Enforcement, and continue to try to take benefits away.  We will not be able to hire quality people to replace retirees, if there's no support.
As far as these specific active-shooting incidents go, I think there is a simple solution.  I'm in favor of arming willing and able (able is the vetting and training) Teachers and staff, to be able to carry-concealed on-campus.  Take down the asinine "gun-free zone" signs, and replace them with warnings of armed staff prepared to defend themselves and students.  Just changing the signs would drastically lower the number of incidents, and one great success story would go a long way toward a solution.
And yes, I do carry-concealed just about everywhere now...  except for most visits to bars (not all though, because I live in-town and have been recognized before).
RIP to all the Victims, living and murdered.
