  1. This one was awesome. The last four of these have been great. I could do without 2 and 3, but this franchise is where it’s at for action films. The car chase did go on too long, but I laughed at the donuts in the Fiat. It seemed they went for more laughs this time around.
  2. You should probably not go see it, which seems likely to be what happens for you. You should do something that you’ll enjoy! Cheers!
  3. It’s a good week or two for films. Headed to see the new Mission Impossible tonight and then Oppenheimer in 70mm IMAX next week. Barbie looks like it’s gonna be a good watch, too.
  4. Man, he was the best. Honestly, I only think 2 (maybe 1) of those jokes wouldn’t have made it today as is, and one of them I don’t think would have made it would only have to be changed slightly.
  5. That’s definitely weird behavior by Biden. I’m sure you’d agree that such a move is reGRETAble.
  6. I loved it. They almost lost me with the third act, but this movie kicked ass. They didn’t try to reinvent the wheel or anything here and that was the right choice. It’s basically one long chase, which was perfect. Phoebe Waller-Bridge was great and her character had so much more potential as a successor to Indy than Shia LeBouf’s. With that said, I don’t think they should continue and they certainly don’t seem to try to make it set in stone like they did at the end of Crystal Skull. I honestly don’t understand the critical reaction to this film, just like I didn’t understand the critical reaction to The Little Mermaid. Like that one, the audience scores for Indy are more in line with most filmgoers’ experience. This movie hits just the note it needs to. Speaking of notes, you gotta love John Williams.
  7. Jeff Van Gundy could have told this person to stay away from a spinning jet engine.
  8. If this team keeps winning and has a legit shot, you don’t trade him unless you want this team to fall apart. He’s the guy we’d want to trade for if we felt it would get us over the hump. The thing is, he’s already here. If we had our current bullpen earlier in the year, this wouldn’t even be a discussion and we’d all be losing our shit over the team’s insane record. Everybody would be dead set on winning it all.
  9. @Jay’s intelligence gathering abilities are not nearly as robust, apparently.
  10. AIR Streaming on Prime. This was a freaking fantastic movie. Fun as hell. 10/10 The Little Mermaid Went with my daughter. It was great, honestly. Most of the live action remakes blow, but they really nailed this one for the most part. 8.5/10
  11. …and yet that field looks better than the actual drawings they just released. The new park looks absolutely atrocious. It retains all of the terrible qualities of the Coliseum. There’s TONS of foul territory and circular decks. What the hell are they thinking? It’s the Coliseum without Mt. Davis + a roof. They should go with a modified version of the scrapped Cisco Field. That had the potential to be one of the best parks in the league. It was beautiful. Idiots.
  12. I’m pretty sure that if the title of the article was “cancer, reproductive and developmental issue causing ingredient ban to protect children passes in California State Assembly” you probably wouldn’t have made this post.
  13. The title of this thread is itself a reference to a long standing societal take on Florida. There’s even a thread about the great people of Florida on a highly questionable baseball discussion board that you may be interested in joining, though I’m not sure you’ll be able to get the username of Jay:
  14. Hell yeah. Such a great show. Also, Strange Currencies by REM is a great song.
  15. This has to be just about the most successful mid-season/deadline overhaul a professional sports team has ever had. The numbers looked good on paper from a pure stats perspective when they made the trades, but they way they’ve come together is an absolute best case scenario. Super impressive and props are definitely due to Pelinka.
  16. Two weeks until the series finale for both Succession and Barry, arguably the best two shows on TV. Damn. They both seem to be closing strong, though I haven’t seen last nights eps. Also, Silo had a very strong third episode with a fantastic moment or two. Great stuff.
  17. There’s no way that cuck nor Ben Shapiro would do that.
  18. Silo (AppleTV+) There are only two episodes out so far, but I’m sold. Give this one a chance, guys.
  19. 4 good transfers now, but of course that’s relative to what he had to start with. It’s a good foundation for him to build high school recruiting upon. I guess we’ll see what happens. At least it will be watchable, which will be nice.
  20. Her sin was being surprised by it, apparently.
