Herget always cracks me up every time I see his face of determination and then he uncorks an 82mph wounded duck pitch that all it's missing in flight is a few feathers falling off. And the batter aimlessly swings at a location the pitch was never going to reach. 

I would find great joy if Judge signed with the Giants in the off season. The Yankee butt hurt would be epic.

To me this lends itself to him being a pretty strong candidate for the HOF even if he can't sustain it for like 15-20 years.  And even if he doesn't hit any typical HOF milestones.  Not giving him the MVP is kind of like punishing the unicorn because he's a unicorn.  
But Judge has been absolutely incredible.  running away with hr and rbi titles and now with the batting title lead.   It really is one of the greatest offensive seasons of all time.  Especially considering the quality of competition now.  
Personally, I would have a very hard time casting a vote if I had one.  But who he plays for is going to have a large impact on who's gonna win.  In other words, if Ohtani was a Yankee and Judge a Halo, I think Ohtani wins pretty easily.

This is likely, as is Bachman. The best case scenario for these guys are that they are healthy, stay healthy and occupy the 5th and 6th spot in the rotation expertly. 
But as a closer, either could get some innings and build up his strength again. Bachman obviously can be in the majors all year, and honestly so could C-Rod.

Using Loup and Tepera in high leverage situations is simply asking for trouble.  Improved scouting and better game plans might help limit the negative impact of Loup and Tepera.

Personally, I think that if Ohoppe works out and is merely a starting MLB C for a good run, and not a total dud with the bat, I'm fine with the trade. 
We desperately need to solve C.

He should turn back time and play for the Cardinals next season.
