Whatever came of Salmon and Finley in the dugout? I wonder if they were there to evaluate Nevin and staff.
Spies in the mist!

This was the day for exit interviews. Phil was shown the door. That is the most unsurprising development of the Angels' early offseason. Anybody hear if the door hit him on the way out?
They don't have doors on their offices, too expensive.

Anyone know when Minasian is speaking tomorrow? Is Bally's covering the press conference?

Since Nevin is gone, get rid of all the coaches as well. Might as well start with a clean slate. And dump the training staff, start over from scratch. Above all please don't cheap out on anything Arte! Don't get a rookie MLB manager, get someone with experience and who has a track record of success.

It was nice to see the younger players take on a contender and stomp them.

I'm sure he didn't want to fail here, the blame is acquiring him the first place. It's become a bit of a speed game when acquiring relievers anymore, and Loup didn't have it. He's a bit of a fossil.

It would be cool to win two three from a really strong contending team. Also nice to see Cron back, even if for just a few games.

That bottom of the ninth was amazing! If Walsh and and a much stronger Phillips can come back next year, that's a big plus! That would be like hitting rock bottom and rebounding. Finish this off Angels.

The real question is do you want all $40 million plus eggs in one basket, or do you want 4 baskets of $10 million eggs. Do you want to consolidate the risk, or dilute it by spreading it out. If you want to dilute the risk we could get an outfielder, and three different pitchers. If one or two of the four go down, you don't lose $40 + million eggs. Or here is a novel idea, put $40 million + in the egg farm and when the chicks hatch watch it bloom and go crazy. On the other hand do we trust the farmers?

Nevin will never make excuses, but he sure loves making excuses.
What exactly would you want him to say, it's a case of a manager being out of reasonable players to even fill a basic lineup card. It's totally ridiculous! The most effective tool for handling a situation like this year would have been to strengthen and provide even more depth throughout the farm system, but that can not happen overnight, it takes years and it's like dragging a tank behind a Jeep, very slow going with lots of ups and downs.

"We have players here who need a lot of work."
LOL!

I agree, that was a very scary moment, and a real inflection point in the season. Best of luck Taylor in your recovery! I hope you can do all the things you love in the future, including baseball if you so choose.

When is the Baseball Operations department going to get some advisors? Maybe Scioscia and Madden can help?

1. Southern California will have another Earthquake and Tropical Storm.
2. Darin Erstad will fail as the Angels manager.
3. The Dodgers will win another World Series.
4. Seattle will win their first World Series.
5. Squid will hit .300 for the Atlanta Braves.

Rangers doing a grand job, as of tonight they are out of the division lead and out of a wild card spot. Maybe the question should be who would we rather have, Nevin or Dusty Baker, or Scott Servais, LOL.

How do you know he doesn't "give a shit?" I don't think that is true factually. But that is my opinion. And only you can answer the question of whether you should continue to buy season tickets, why is that something you need to share.
