  1. Understandable, italics are a foreign language, like Italian, no?
  2. I think this weekend will be critical for Moniak as well, I would like to see him make the team over Phillips. You never know about #1 picks, they sometimes seem to languish, and then suddenly blossom.
  3. Might be a good thing if they are underrated, there is a tremendous amount of pressure on this organization to do something spectacular with the possible looming loss of Ohtani to another organization in free agency. This team should be pretty fired up with the performances of all their players who played in the WBC, and also how the newcomers have played this spring. It also looks like the younger players are developing steadily, both pitchers and hitters. I am anxious to see how they do against the Dodgers in the last three spring games. It's going to be a tough, but exciting regular season with all the teams in the American League West, excluding Oakland (and they tend to surprise at times).
  4. I don't think any hitter could do anything with that immaculate pitch except lay off of it and walk, if the umpire was kind. Nineteen inches of break is more than half the length of a bat.
  5. I think you are right, and it's worth the injury risk to the players even though it's a bummer to get injured outside of the regular season and MLB playoffs.
  6. Manny is exactly what we don't need, the focus should be on younger players.
  7. The real number doesn't matter, just as long as you believe they are 37"s.
  8. I liked Maddon, every manager has his unique style. I also like Nevin, and I wouldn't say that one is better than the other. They are different. I also liked Mike S., not everyone did but it's hard to dislike him when he was instrumental in giving us a World Series Champion. I would say all three of these managers had unique personalities, and I enjoyed following them and seeing their approach. I get tired of the criticism of managers, I know it's a major part of the game for all teams and all managers, but I find it tiring looking for faults all of the time. Let's have a positive year for a change. Just keep focused on the goal....the playoffs.
  9. Talking to people on Twitter is like talking to strangers in a public restroom while wearing a blindfold.
  10. I don't blame Arte for not wanting to sell. Some new owner comes in invests a fortune in the team, and then it makes Arte look like a dick (forever). You go out right after you win a World Series Championship, then the next owner can't top you. So sit back and relax, .....for the next 20 years or so until Arte gets lucky.
  11. Dusty Baker finally found someone he could beat in the World Series.
  12. I like the guy, but it's time for him to retire. Too bad we didn't have the younger version of Suzuki. I still think he would make an outstanding catching coach.
