That makes sense.  Thanks for that.  I always assumed a sac fly didnt count as an atbat or a plate appearance. 

How is Adells OBP lower than his  avg?

I like the Aaron Hicks signing.  127 OPS+ with Baltimore.  Low risk and high reward.  Saves $$$ for other moves.

I’m bummed because Ohtani was entertaining even if the Angels were not. Losing was more palatable knowing I was watching something that happens once a century. Would’ve warmly welcomed him back, but do think that contract, regardless of deferrals, is gonna hurt at some point and I’m happy I won’t see Ohtani start to age and struggle (and ultimately receive fan grumbling) as an Angel.

I live in Texas now as well.  Im glad I dont have to drive the freeways and see billboards with Ohtani in a Dodgers uni.  I do have to suffer through friends bringing up the Rangers winning the WS at least once a week.

I dont like the idea of signing a fulltime DH with Trout getting older and Rendon on the roster.  I feel like we need that spot to rotate them through to hopefully keep them healthy and in the lineup for a full season.

IMHO, its difficult to have one foot in the "rebuild" bucket and the other in the "be competitive" bucket.  It sure hasn't worked for us in the past.  I wish Arte would go all in one way or the other.  I'm tired of the Angels being below avg.

I'm on the fence regarding Swanson but I think with MLB banning the shift we should only see his number improve or am I interpreting that wrong?  I'm more of a lurker and lean on yall for analysts. HA!  The strikeouts are concerning.

Is it still protected if we are picking out of the top 10?

Just curious, what makes you think the Angels are considered a premium franchise?  I'm pretty confident in saying that outside of Orange County very few think this way.

Do we even trust Perry to maximize the return on an Ohtani trade?  He didn't wow me personally with this past trade deadline.

I'm not ready to give up on Adell but for the life of me I cant figure out how he is this bad in the OF.  I don't know if more reps is going to help him become passable on def.  He is missing balls that high school kids wouldn't have a problem with.

Seems like Tinsman was a steal at 20 based on his coaches comments and stats.  Sounds like he is above average on offense and defense.  Wonder why he fell to us in the 20th round?
