    The cynic in me would agree with AO but probably on the 16th June having been swept by the A's and the realisation that you are not going anywhere when you cannot get anything against your divisional rivals. (13-29 so far I think against Asstros,A's and M's) Would be an interesting question for Joe madden based on some of his bizarre line up choices and pitching changes.

    The whole staff should hang their head in shame they have taken embarrassing to a new level. This season's been a complete disaster even by halos standards.

    Got me wondering what ohtani maybe thinking about any possible extension offer when all he can see picking up in the near future is the AL west wooden spoon. The A and the Astros are light years ahead and the Mariners setup for a possible purple patch, some improvement from the Texas and that will be where we are at. Why would a guy as good as ohtani what to hang around any longer than he has to. Grim times....

    Anyone who thinks our rotation for next season can be sorted from within and without spending on a couple of new starters is seriously deluded. This series and the Detroit one has proved that.

    Problem is vaccination doesn't stop you getting covid it only hopefully lessens the severity. I know of a good few people in UK who have been double jabbed and have still contracted it. This pandemic has still got some twists and turns to go before it's fully controlled.

    Thats the big unknown but would have him as a good fit for Rockies with them having a hitter friendly ball park and adell being known for hitting dingers, also they get a good length of control and potential. Just checked Cannings BTV and it's dropped dramatically

    Track record over recent years on pitching would bear this out and the number of games thrown away / lost this year down to mediocre pitching. There is a big difference between coveting and actually signing.

    Why would any Top end rotation FA starter consider signing for a franchise that doesn't take pitching seriously and has little chance of contending in the near future until it has a drastic change in strategy and approach. Just a thought ?

    Absolutely embarrassing baseball tonight Up against a rookie pitcher on debut and we don't look like getting on base. Defense has also looked bad and team looks totally devoid of confidence. Wave goodbye to .500 not be seeing that for a while judging by this display.

    Happy with these acquisitions. Looks like minasian has boxed clever and played the long game waiting for the fallout from elsewhere and then hoovered up at bargain prices. Or am I being too complimentary

    Yes I think that can be filed away in the same cabinet as pitching

    I think seeing how iglesias pans out this season is best option,then consider extending if he performs well. The glut of top level FA ss's could bring the prices down, not sure how many teams will have the budget or need in this position.
