  1. Arte and delusional fans were the only ones who thought this could be a playoff team and that they should buy. They doubled down on 15 with the dealer showing a King.
  2. Angels baseball: Amazingly consistent 8 years and running.
  3. Misery lol -- wrong guy. Dude, i'm realistic -- and that allows me to be happy because i'm not expecting something that is never going to happen. You continue to believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny -- and have your hopes crushed each year. I don't get emotionally attached. Decades ago sure (1982 & 1986 even more so crushed me); but since 2022, i'm good. The injury thing is comical. Every team has injuries. What was their record before the injuries? Around 500; at best during the season, barely above 500. Adding Rendon into the DL equation is funny because he's a waste of $Millions. Most of those other guys are replacement level guys at best. Good teams have proper depth. That's the problem with this organization with Arte buying the expensive toy to show off -- it comes at the expense of having a good, proper minor league system and scouting department (et al). It's been like 15 years of decay and neglect. The house is rotten to the core. It needs to be burned down to the ground. It won't be done while Arte is around. It's unfortunate Trout and Ohtani both attached their careers here -- sure the made money but no success is a failure that will cling to them forever.
  4. all this tells me is how bad the Angels organization/FO is and inept at building a team. the thing is, with or without injuries, they are a below average team -- this year and the last 7 years before. I'm not sure why anyone is surprised at this year. They are what they are. In fact, there is one thing the Angels do incredibly well and consistently -- play under .500 baseball. This year is year #8 in a row of doing so. Rearrange the chairs all you want -- it's the same story every year. Really it is quite comforting knowing there is something in the world that doesn't change and stays the same -- Angels Baseball....8 years and running.
  5. Yeah cause posting on a message board and number of posts is the end all for determining your baseball knowledge. Try getting out of your moms basement, away from the keyboard and visit the real world occasionally.
  6. All of this was so predictable and easy to see. The schedule was setup for them to sell - not buy. Likely gonna get worse before it gets any better. You’d have to be a fool (or Perry/Arte) to buy and think this team was a playoff caliber team.
  7. So Perry got pieces we needed - for this year. A year that we were not gonna make the playoffs regardless. What did he get for 2024+. Maybe a comp 2nd round pick. That’s the prize awaiting the Angels lol smh. Brilliance by the organization lol.
  8. Spirited run - hahaha, the bar is really set low now isn’t it. There are a bunch of battered wives on here. Wake up people.
  9. 60 days ago, I was a big fan of Perry. fast forward to these ridiculous/horrible trades with no self awareness and the bad draft (imo) - and now I realize he’s another failure. Maybe he’s been infected by the Angels/Arte idk. im calling it now, Angels won’t make the playoffs until the 2030s decade.
  10. Loser organization. Laughingstock in MLB and worst than the A’s. You got to wonder if Arte realizes how much he’s mocked around the league and by fans (except for random delusional angel fans).
  11. If only they could make Another trade giving just prospects. They’d be in first right? No self awareness.
  12. Good/playoff teams find ways to win. The rest find ways to lose. You should know by now which side the Angels are on.
  13. Amen brother. Reality is that this organization has been on a road to nowhere and will continue to do so -- until there is change at the top. Assuming of course that ownership change is a good one. It could be worse. Right now we have the black hole.
  14. You went from a certainty (they would be in first) to now saying it would be a possibility. I wonder what's next. Listen, i love the passion and the support/positivity. But you seriously think O'Hoppe would have made the difference? If anything, he was likely playing a little over his head and a come down was soon when the book got out on him. Then you hope he could make the proper adjustments. Regardless, you keep talkign injuries. You do realize every team has injuries right? Texas has lost a bunch of their top guys are periods. IDK about Houston, but i'm guessing they have had injuries. That's why the angels are not anything more than an average team -- lack of depth for when inevitable injuries occur. The pitching staff has been pretty healthy for the year -- and they simply are not good enough....at least not good enough to win this division. Or live in a dream world -- you do you
