Thankfully, Ramirez and Alvarez only threw 13 pitches between them. NO BADROCK IN THE 9TH!!!!!!!! He's imploded in the 9th with good sized leads a couple of times. Let Krol pitch it.

I get this. Just hoping they relax the limit some down the road. Otherwise, the bullpen will be burned out by August/September.

Is Sosh taking this pitch limit thing a little far? I'm 50-50 on it. The season is two months old, and thus the arms should be loose enough now to get to 100 pitches. But I guess he's gun shy, after the unlimited TJS's the past few years?

Cozart, Simmons, Trout, Ohtani, Upton, Pujols, Kinsler, Machete, Calhoun/Hermosillo Try that lineup for a while. What is with Sosh's fascination with hitting Kinsler leadoff??????????

At least it's 4-0, Calhoun's and Kinsler's outs won't hurt as much.

Upton and Pujols tanking again, at least they drew critical BBs in the 9th inning yesterday. Kinsler = SMFH.

I'm okay with this. He did only pitch some 40 innings in 2017. Besides, they DESPERATELY need his LHH bat in NY. Plus, with the questionable weather Sunday, don't take any chances with putting him on the mound.

That Calhoun play deserves it's own thread

That big 9rh inning play describes why Calhoun needs to be the 4th OF going forward. Value defensively for sure -
I was pissed at the first 8 innings. Love that 9th inning! Big cajones to escape tying run at 3B with no outs on the road! Big win and much needed!

Props to Calhoun for sure on that throw, Granderson isn’t the slowest runner to be sure. Parker bore down after sucking it up vs the first 3 hitters.

Driving home, and having them score 4 in the 9th = TOTALLY UNEXPECTED! Props on the plate discipline, and to Ohtani and Simmons for two HUGE hits! And to Ohtani for stealing 2B!

When will this team EVER have a solid offense again? How many times this decade have they had one? ONCE? (2014) Marsh, Adell, Rengifo, Ward, Fletcher, etc.....is this franchise's last hope to FINALLY have a solid offense!!!!!
