Second Base got a reaction from Vegas Halo Fan in Trade to address RF
The Angels will keep RF internal this year.
    1. Calhoun has the best chance of manning RF for the rest of the year.  He's an excellent defender and major league track record, as well as contract will keep him out there.
    2. Jabari Blash has  dibs on RF in Calhoun doesn't get it done.  Blast is already on the 40 man, they traded for him for a reason and he's absolutely destroying AAA.
    3. Chris Young would probably be third on the depth chart, simply because we don't have anyone else to play CF on the roster, and if he plays RF we'd need to promote a CF.
    4. Eric Young isn't lighting the world on fire in AAA or anything, but he's familiar and is probably fourth.
    5. Michael Hermosillo is fifth.  He has the actual upside to be a starting OF in the major leagues, but he's still refining a "whole field" approach in AAA and needs time.  But if he figures it out, he could leapfrog up to #1.  Still just 23.
NOTE: Kaleb Cowart started in RF for Salt Lake last night.

Yeah, I figured it would take five years from when Eppler took over to get the Angels farm system back to where it needs to be.  It took Eppler three.

I’d go after someone soon that is playing well this year but is able to perform well as a 4th outfielder.  Someone who can step in and start now, but if Kole gets back to being a productive bat, can slide in to being an effective 4th outfielder.  Someone like Jon Jay.

I sometimes wonder if our #2 hitter would be better at #3. If Kinsler AND Cozart were hitting well.

As I said during Spring Training, Matt Thaiss' new swing will make a dangerous hitter. More upright stance, better load, more lift, same great follow through, same maximum barrel through the zone. He looks very comfortable at 1B and is still getting on base at a decent clip.
He'll make an ideal #2 or #5 hitter.

Nice blurb on Rojas from BA:
    HELIUM
    Jose Rojas, 3B
The Angels drafted the Anaheim-born Rojas in the 36th round in 2016 out of NAIA Vanguard University, located just 12 miles from Angel Stadium. Since entering pro ball, the hometown kid has proven to be much more than an organizational filler. Rojas was a California League All-Star in his first pro season last year, including beating Josh Naylor in the semifinals of the Home Run Derby, and is off to a .364/.485/.618 start at Double-A this year, which includes hitting for the cycle on Saturday. Slightly plump at 6 foot, 200 pounds, Rojas does everything well. He is a solid-average defender at third base with enough arm for the position, has the footwork and athleticism to handle second base and can downright hit. He has a gap approach with excellent feel to hit from the left side, and he can drop the barrel for some long home runs with the best of them. Evaluators see Rojas as a big leaguer who can stick on a bench as a lefthanded utilityman, a heck of an outcome for the 1,086th player picked in his draft. If Rojas can live up to that projection, he would become the first position player from Vanguard to ever play in the majors.

Morrison said that to give himself credit since he had two hits today.

As great as Ohtani is, as long as he plays on the same team as Mike Trout, he won't be the big bat.

It sucks to lose a game you should have won.
But that bullpen management or mismanagement falls on Scioscia. He falls in love with one option and sticks with it. Justin Anderson is not a 6 out closer.
And as for the bullpen depth, the Angels haven't exhausted every option yet.
Blake Parker is pitching well again. Noe Ramirez has been a rock. Jose Alvarez has shouldered a tremendous burden. But this team really hasn't given Paredes or Morris a chance at pitching consistently in one role in Anaheim. They've also kept John Lamb and Felix Pena starting in AAA.
Again, it sucks to lose those games. But let's not lose our confidence in Eppler's ability to unearth pitchers from nothingness, or the likelihood of this team trading for a reliever and starter at the deadline.

Yeah but Frank could never hit the high note. Fletcher is hitting just about everything this year.
