If it were me, the Angels would be in a full rebuild and Adell would be starting in LF. 

Adell's exit velocities, athleticism and work ethic are all elite. There's just so much more to this game then that. It's all a game of adjustments. And Adell adjusts, he's just slow at it. 
Opportunity also has to present itself. I'm highly skeptical the Angels will be competitive this year, yet for some reason they saw fit to bring in Hicks. So now Adell will need to displace Moniak and Hicks just to get a look.

Remember when the "unfinished business" guy said "we need to do right by Mike".  I do.
I'm not saying cater to his whims, but if your last remaining superstar is telling you guys want to play for your team and your GM believes guys can help your team win and you still choose to do the opposite then I don't want to hear any BS, about how you want to win, care about the fan experience, or any other pap.
This is the least established team they have rolled out in over a decade, not the least talented.  Your GM has rebuilt what had been the weakest part of the team and you have people available that could shore up the parts of your team that while talented might be volatile.

The most disappointing thing about the offseason is the lack of selling on our part.  The team should look to rebuild during 2024-26 (the Rendon years) and see the Trout/Rendon/Ohtani era as over.  After that payroll will be reset and we could potentially have a nice collection of young talent on the roster. Obviously Trout will still be under contract by then but don’t operate as though his production should be relied upon, just treat everything he contributes as a bonus.  Sell anyone who won’t be a key player or will be nearing FA status by 2027 (Drury, Estevez, Thaiss, Sandoval, Ward, all the recent 1 year bullpen signings at the trade deadline).
