I see Trout has done absolutely nothing to try and close the giant gaping hole in his swing.  He looks like washed up garbage.  

Should be an entertaining game.  For those that remember, the Angels nearly acquired Max Meyer from the Marlins in exchange for Brandon Marsh. A last minute change of heart from the Angels nixed the deal. Marsh would later on be shipped to Philly for Logan O'Hoppe while Meyer underwent Tommy John surgery. Meyer is back healthy and his arsenal is absolutely elite, but we'll see where his command is at, most guys coming off surgery struggle with that initially. Silseth on the other hand looks like he might actually be the Angels best starter at this point.
The Angels and Marlins are in similar spots organizationally.  Two strong divisions, both teams will be heavily reliant on youngsters to stay afloat.  Both teams seem to be directionless at the moment and while the Marlins endured years of mismanagement by owner Jeffrey Loria, the Angels are still enduring the years of highly questionable interference by Arte Moreno.

Are we supposed to pretend the former player isn't Mark Gubicza?

I don't understand why everyone thinks it's a pretty bad game.  When your expectations are THAT low, the very fact that Trout homered and the Angels scored a couple runs is a victory in and of itself.  It's like Joe Biden's State of the Union speech.  When you set the bar so low that if he isn't a drooling mess or lies about his children or forgets where he is, that it's a victory then you're going to come away totally impressed. 
The key is low expectations, folks. 

I suppose I'd rather have a team that's pissed off about being losers than one that is happy to be losing.
