Let’s face facts, the pitching is going to be in the bottom half of the league. For the Angels to compete, the offense needs to be in the top half. Correa at SS helps make that happen.

How about Kris Bryant? Can he play 2B?
-
Correa and Richards? Sure. Richards and that’s it? No.

Or even Castillo, honestly.
I hope Minasian feels the same.
I'm mildly ok with trading Bachman but only for Castillo.
Castillo is an ace, on a team friendly deal, who pitches in probably the best hitters park in the NL. As much as I like Detmers, I believe the Angels make that deal in a heartbeat.

Since Arte loves the big splash my question is would Correa be so bad? Obviously upgrading the pitching staff is the #1 concern but since that’s clearly not going to happen what would your lineup look like with Correa in it? Signing Correa probably means 10/350M and probably trading Detmers and Paris for pitching but if they could get Sonny Gray I think the Angels could seriously contend.
2B Fletcher
DH Ohtani
CF Trout
SS Correa
3B Rendon
1B Walsh
LF Upton/Marsh/Adell
C Stassi
RF Marsh/Adell

Angels should’ve trade for Wendle.
-
I hope he takes the QO. Let’s say he is on the verge of 4/48, even if he slips a bit he’ll probably still get at least 3/30 which would put him at even money. If he does well next year he won’t be tied to a pick and could really clean up.
-
How about Greinke? At least he’s familiar with the AL West.
-
Verlander and NS together is too many question marks. I’d like to see them trade for Gray AND Castillo. Pretty much willing to gut the farm for those 2.
-
I like the signing if Arte is spending more than $50M. If not then we’ll be seeing a lot of Luis Rengifo this year and I’ll hate the deal.

Resign Iglesias
Sign Scherzer
Trade for Castillo

Who would be a good SS for us next year? Seagar and Correa have injury issues, Baez strikes out all the time, Story isn’t great outside of Coors, Simmons isn’t an option here, Iglesias was bad. Is there anyone else?
-
For years we’ve been asking for them to bring up the kids on the farm and let them play. Now that they have I’ve completely lost interest. Go figure.

Ward hit 27 HR in AAA in 2019.
-
He was just fired by the Padres.
-
I know it’s early but I’m seeing Peter Bourjos with a beard.
-
I know it’s way early but what has anyone seen from Marsh that looks promising? He looks exactly like Adell did last year but with even more strikeouts and no power. At least his defense is better.
-
I feel like CRod should be ranked first over Detmers. He has really impressed since coming up.
Is Canning still a prospect? If so, where would he rank on this list?
-
Shut him down and let the tank begin.
-
I’d be interested in him or Correa. The problem with both is their health issues. Maybe Story would be a better option?
-
Let these guys do whatever they want and stop pretending like this is shocking news.
-
No wonder his arm was so good.

I’d put a wager on it but then I’d be rooting against them. I really hope you’re right.
