  1. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, loved ones, friends and teammates. Feels all too familiar. RIP Tyler Skaggs #45
  2. Methinks you will be wrong. I think there is significant chance he is a successful quarterback for the League
  3. Condolences for your loss. May he rest in peace and may you and your family find peace through this.
  4. I agree. Baseball is much easier on the body I'd imagine. Money I'm sure plays a role here of course but football is his first love.
  5. Also, forgot to add. Kyler Murray will be a first pick.
  6. I agree he is small. But I'm starting to wonder with the way football is shifting it might not matter as much anymore. He played behind a line where 4/5 of them are entering the draft. With someone who is as versatile as he is. I dont see the height affecting him too much. He has options to bolt and throw from a bit further back and has a strong arm and is quite accurate. I think that right there gives him a shot.
  7. Oh I didn't specifically mean it was all people on here. Hubs has some criticisms of him but he explains what they are and why. I dont take issue with that. I was meaning in general I'm seeing it a lot, just knocking the kid and not explaining why. Unfortunately, this is one of the only places I have an account to Express my view on it. I only lurk elsewhere. Lol.
  8. Not sure why a lot of people are knocking the kid. He signed with Oakland before he had ever even played a full season with the Sooners. Now that he has. I can't blame him for wanting to take a shot at NFL considering football has always been reported to be his first love. Also not sure why people dont think he can make it in the NFL purely based on his size. I believe a whole bunch of people were saying the same thing about another OU quarterback named Baker Mayfield. Time will tell if he pans out, but so far the critics have been wrong about Baker. Seems that Lincoln Riley knows how to make quarterbacks so far. Also, Kyler is a good kid. I wish him the best in whatever sport he chooses (hope its football so I don't have to root against him as an A.) But the heavy criticisms of him seem to be weak. Only time will tell though.
  9. I know just because you dont land a guy doesnt mean you weren't trying. I know sometimes you get em, sometimes you dont. I also know a good GM is smart about spending big money on players and great ones know who is worth it or not. With all that being said. Good God this has been a boring off season so far! I need some of you guys to just cough out some Angels related rumors somewhere so I can get my fix.
  10. CC was still a pretty good pitcher this season. With that being said. I hope we don't sign him. Watching him pitch this year, I've got that gut feeling that it's over. He will sign with a team for sure, but I believe this will be the year he "loses it."
  11. The Shift seems to have started against Kole around 2015. I've thought to myself since last season that Kole's hitting officially died when teams went full shift on him. But the numbers don't seem to actually back up my claim. So with that being said. I haven't a clue as to why Kole has bombed so hard to start this season (even going back to last season) One would have to think at this point it's all mental. He's never been an outstanding hitter but he's never been this bad either. I love watching him play. I love his heart and how he carries himself. He's a fiery (no pun intended maybe) player. But this has been awful. I hope he snaps out of it but if he doesn't, I hope we can find a solution at little cost to us.
  12. He does seem fast enough to reach on a bunt. You'd think 4 bunts a game (assuming he's always facing a shift) would result in a higher avg. than .180. I love Kole. I love how he plays. But I truly believe his hitting died when the shift came around for him.
  13. I'm sure there is a way to check this stat. But I'm not going to so I'll make my comment based entirely on feelings. Kole's hitting ended when teams starting playing the shift against him.
