Red Sox fans think Astros' Framber Valdez got away with illegal substance (fansided.com)
No offense to the Red Sox fans but they shouldn't be talking given the Red Sox and their history of cheating (apple watches, for example). And they employed some of the game's biggest starts who were cheaters (PED users) like Ortiz, Manny, Canseco, and Clemens.

Another questionable move by Maddon taking Ohtani out after less than 80 pitches. Reminds me of Fat Mike. It's no wonder why Cub fans don't miss Maddon.

A hanging slider will usually get hit hard, pitchers ballpark or hitters ballpark, doesn't matter.

Looks like Trout lost that Zodiac Killer mentality (killer instinct) at the plate. All good things must come to an end.

Lets do a comparison of Angel Stadium in 2014 vs. 2021. The ballpark factor at Angel Stadium in 2014 was under 100. This season, it's over 100. Mind you, 2014 was another 1968, a season where pitching dominated over hitting. This season is like 2014, pitching dominates hitting. So why is the ballpark factor in 2021 favors hitters at Angel Stadium but not in 2014? A big reason is the Angels pitching staff. In 2014, the Angels had an excellent pitching staff, especially in their starting rotation. Weaver, Shoemaker, and Richards all pitched well that season. All three had ERAs under 3.60. Their bullpen was terrific that season with Street and Joe Smith leading the way. This season, the Angels currently have a terrific pitching staff, both in the starting rotation and bullpen.
You're just an idiot to realize that, stupid teddy bear.

Maybe someone should tell opposing offenses to not have that Zodiac Killer mentality (killer instinct) when they hit at Angel Stadium and make it look like a hitters ballpark. Or tell the Angels pitching staff to stop sucking because by the time the Angels have a good pitching staff again like they did years ago, Zodiac might finally be caught.

Yes!  Absolutely!!!!!  People should totally ignore reality, focus on whatever narrative they want to pitch and ignore all actual data.  Never mind that until recently when an overused bullpen has imploded the gap between the team's real ERA and it's expected ERA was well over a run.
Congratulations...  After the idiotic comment made today about Angel Stadium really being a pitchers park but Mike Trout's excellence skewing the numbers this is the funniest most statistically ignorant comment of the day.
Overall FIP ranking means diddly squat -- the numbers that matter is the gap between real and expected ERAs..   Or if you prefer data that includes balls in play SIERRA which only gains in actual "accuracy" the longer the season goes on and defensive metrics gain sample sizes...

1.06 run difference.    Focus on the SPs and that gap is even larger at 1.18
    https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=sta&lg=all&qual=0&type=1&season=2021&month=0&season1=2021&ind=0&team=0,ts&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&startdate=2021-01-01&enddate=2021-12-31&sort=20,a

Again, using the time honored idea that the SP sets the tone, no other team in the top 15 in SP SIERRA has an ERA over 5.00 (Angels 5.14).  The next closest SP ERA is at 4.20.  Let that sink in for a second.  But yeah -- let's ignore all this..  Let's also blindfold ourselves because anyone that's actually watched this team play knows the defense fails the eye test...
So in conclusion..  It's the defense, Stupid.

Angels Stadium is a hitters ballpark now? No, the Angels pitchers can't pitch and they have this guy named Trout, who has a .333/.486/.685 slash line at home in the 2021 regular season so far and can make any pitchers ballpark look like a bandbox. Those two reasons have inflated the ballpark factor of Angel Stadium.
