In terms of Ryu vs Keuchel, I'll also say this.  With Ohtani, Heaney, Bundy, Canning, Teheran now in the rotation, and with Suarez, Barria, Sandoval as #7-9, we should have enough depth to weather the season.  Most teams try to navigate the regular season with tons of depth, then rely on their more elite talent to get through the playoffs.
I recognize Keuchel is more likely to stay healthy and be decent, but Ryu's upside is much higher, and given that we should have enough SP depth to get through the season, I'd like to gamble on the higher upside SP who we could rely on, should we make the playoffs, along with Ohtani.  I'd have more confidence in a Ryu/Ohtani 1-2 punch in the playoffs than a Keuchel/Ohtani 1-2 punch, IMO.

FTR, I think this is a decent signing.  But I'm not putting away my rabbit's foot.

I don’t think it’s that hard imagine it.  They wanted a major league outfielder.  The Angels said no to giving up any of theirs so Cleveland asked for a good prospect that they liked.  Regardless of how highly touted a prospect is.  They aren’t major leaguers.  Anyway, I’m not saying I think Cleveland did well for Kluber.  But I understand why they would have asked for Marsh.  And obviously why that didn’t work out.  
 
important to remember that Cleveland actually needed Deshields.  And when it came down to Clase, they probably internally viewed him as more valuable to them then like Michael Hermosillo.  

Everyone keeps saying it was Marsh and another top 10 prospect.  Top 10 Angel prospect, not top baseball prospect.  Big difference.
It kind of blows my mind that people think you can get a pitcher like Kluber without trading something of actual value.
Did we really expect Cleveland to trade Kluber for less than one top 100 prospect (Marsh) and another body not in the top 100 (whomever the second Angel top 10 was)?

Good for Cole. Everything is a negotiation. If you’re not using someone else to up your price then I don’t know what you’re doing.  That said let’s worry about the Yankees when we play them. In the mean time let’s continue to get better.

Marsh and Adell both hitting this year would be HUGE. Would give us the chance to move Upton to DH to split time with Ohtani, instead of having Pujols there when he's given a rest from 1B. And, Upton would be a killer 4th outfielder. Fangraphs is project Upton to have a bit of a bounce back year at the plate, with 30 home runs and a BA of .240. It would also give us the potential to have a defensive outfield to match our defensive infield.

We just signed our #1 pick a few months ago and gave him a check for $3.4M dollars. If Eppler was unsure about the prospect ... then he should of never picked him. Using your recent #1 draft pick to make Cozart away for the 1 year left on his contract is unsettling imo.
