  1. Marsh will stay in the OF. He’s not gonna have a bat like Trout did in the first years of his career. I could see him being the 4th OF behind Adell, Trout and Upton and also riding the SLC express at times. Adams will not be ready for a full time roll until Upton is off the books and at that point, Pujols will also be off the books. So you do need a 1B. And that might be Trout or Adell. In 2023, Trout will be in his Age 31 season, he could be the guy that goes to 1st.
  2. These are just ok. I was a big fan of the navy blue CA uniforms from the early 90’s. I would do Red and White as the primary home uniform. All whites for alternate/Sundays. Red and Gray as the primary road uniform. Navy Blue and Gray for the Road alternate, with a Red Cap.
  3. 1. Angels Trade for Aaron Sanchez 2. Angels Re-Sign Calhoun 3. Angels Sign Yasmani Grandal 3. Angels Sign Travis D'Arnaud. (I also think they are signing Cole, but everyone put that).
  4. Bumgarner. Will Smith. Aaron Sanchez if he's non-tendered. Kole Calhoun if he comes in lower than $10, and is willing to play some 1st.
  5. Marsh, Rengifo, and three prospects brings you one of those guys. Or Suarez and two prospects. I'd much rather see like Cozart and a prospect for Samardzija, or similar but that's just me.
  6. I know you all love him but he's basically a better defending Grichuck right now, and he's not gonna bring back any of those pitchers on his own. Add in Suarez and Rengifo, and you might get one of those guys.
  7. I've seen him interviewed about how he wants to get back to the 2002 spirit. So It's not just a Fan Thing.
  8. FYI if the Angels had averaged a quality start in their 162 games last year, they'd have given up 486 runs (or less) in at least 972 innings pitched. Their starters and primary pitchers allowed 492 runs in just 779.1 innings. Nearly 200 less innings. They averaged 4.2+ just shy of 5 IP per "start" if you count the starts that were opened.
  9. We are short one Garrett, Gerrit will have to do. Anderson 1996-2008 Richards 2011-2018...
  10. Gallego will likely not be brought back. I wouldn't be surprised to see Butcher or Callaway back, as they both have links to the Angels 2002 team. Butcher was the pitching coach in Salt Lake and Callaway was in the rotation as effectively the sixth starter.
  11. I think it’s a mistake. I understand reorganization but not eliminating teams. There are 8 Western MLB teams And I’m sure those 8 teams can find a AAA and High A but where is the AA supposed to come from?
  12. The guy who does Dodger Talk, Dave Vasey or however you spell it, is without a doubt, the worst radio host this side of Vic The Brick Jacobs and even then I say maybe Dave is worse. He talks about the Angels dismissively and negatively, doesn’t know their better players or rotation or anything. I get that he’s hosting Dodger talk but even as just doing oppo research he should know the basics. He apologizes for everything the Dodgers di is an ass to callers and has an extremely Condescending tone. Unlistenable. LODGE is not nearly as big of a homer.
  13. He plays to the more causal fan, the way Hudler did. I don't hate him, I just usually listen to Petros and Money.
  14. I'd also consider Andrew Cashner as a bargain signing. Or Tanner Roark. Cole gets less than people expect. Strasburg more. Ryu less. Hamels More. Bumgarner Less. Odorrozi Less. Wheeler More.
  15. I guess I missed him being cut. I did just see yesterday he elected free agency.
  16. Opted for free agency so he must’ve been waived. Dont know of this was posted but I didn’t see it until now.
  17. Literally every starter did worse under white than they had the previous year. The Bullpen, where he had experience a lot of guys did well (Robles, Garcia, Bedrosian) and some did worse (Anderson). He and Ausmus didn’t know how to coach starters as well as they should’ve.
  18. He is in the upper tier of pitch framers. Way above Machete. The list I saw had him ranked third behind Hedges and Perez.
  19. I think they’re gonna make a trade or two. One of the minor league OF and one of the major league infield group is gonna get traded probably for a starter but it could be for another position entirely. They still might sign two starters but I would bet against them acquiring a third. The prospect depth isn’t all to make the major league with the Angels, some will be moved to other teams. Marsh and Rengifo for instance for Boyd. Or something maybe similar that doesn’t involve one of these two. Cozart and a prospect for Jeff Samardija. Maybe more of blockbuster trade that shakes up the roster. Teams also go from worst to first all the time.
  20. Mack managed the A’s when they were in Philadelphia not the Phillies.
  21. I’d be happy with two solid pitchers but my bet is they trade for one and sign one but maybe they sign two.
  22. He might get around there though. 5/95 for instance
