Nice game overall other than the rough start from Suarez. Great job by the bullpen locking it down. 
 
 

I imagine Suarez gets another start at least but if he can only go twice through a lineup, maybe he’s better suited for multi-inning relief.  Switch him out with Davidson for a while, then bring Suarez back to starting in the second half.  If he has good numbers he could be part of a trade to fill our biggest need at the deadline.

Ward needs to start hitting like he did last year

As I put on my return post on here if you will, I have been going through a lot of personal turmoil and anguish over the past year or so and therefore why was not on here, and really did not want to face the world in general. Was in a bad car wreck, in the hospital for quite awhile, and the doctors were not sure if I was gonna make it. During this time, a good friend of mine passed away from cancer, my place of employment shut its doors, etc etc. A lot for one person to take on. I did not know where to turn, what to do, anything. My family and friends were there for me and I will always love them for that, and met a lady along the way who means everything to me, but even still there were some dark days if you know what I mean.
Eventually, I did get out of my funk and tried to face life again the best I could and admittedly some days are still a struggle, but way better than they were.
Now on to the main point of this thread:
My family knows how big of an Angels fan I am, sometimes even telling me to just shut up haha as I constantly bring us up even if to vent about something or other. They wanted to do something nice for me in relation to this, and unbeknownst to me, they told me just shortly ago that they had wrote a letter to the club about my near death experience if you will, my long time love for the club, etc and the club themselves have finally responded back and for me to choose any home series this season to attend, they will pay for the flights, tickets, and accomodation!
What a great gesture and I am over the moon! I know Arte(And yes probably not totally on him) gets their detractors and I am one of them at times, but this is just awesome by them and can't wait to come out and see the Halo's at some point this season. Probably when it won't be so hot outside haha!
We all love this team, even through the ups and downs, and we will be on top again at some point, hopefully not when I'm in a nursing home haha.

Should have used Tepera in the 7th rather than Estevez and put him in a lower leverage situation if he was going to use him. 
 
the main issue is we have 3 guys right now that you can’t trust with a lead at all, in Herget, Loup, and Tepera. It was a poorly constructed bullpen from the start and it’s been slapping angels fans in the face for the first 14 games, already. If they don’t fix it fast it’s going to be too late and we will be regretting these winnable games getting away when we miss the playoffs by 2 or 3 games.

Our bullpen will end up landing us in 4th place. That's how bad it is. MAJOR adjustments need to happen as soon as possible.
And the defense...ugh. Thaiss is not a catcher.

I tend to be a total homer and an optimist. Definitely in the “it’s early, it’s a long season” camp. But it’s pretty frustrating watching these guys so far. The weaknesses really stand out.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. A lineup of Ohoppe, Cabbage and Lamb would be the most Irish lineup ever. 

Remember when that contract looked like a steal? Anyhow, it isn't the worst thing ever...he's still a useful bench player and a nice guy to have around, even if he hits like David Eckstein with AIDS.

I would put Ward at 1b if they thought Adell's bat was better that whoever else would be at 1b.  
Hey @Jeff Fletcher, any updates on Walsh?  

Shaping up that Moore, Quijada, and Estevez needs to be the 7-8-9 bridge right now until we can find someone else to throw some reliable innings. Maybe Wantz, and Herget can settle in and be decent, I just don’t see Tepera and Loup turning into reliable relievers.  

That was the easiest 9th inning of a 1 run game that I can remember lol
