    Butler really isn't a "power hitter", only had 20 or more HRs twice in his career. But, he knows how to hit and normally has an OBP over .370. That's a Beane kind of guy.

    As much as we my dislike him, Butler is a professional hitter and Beane was smart enough to grab him for his DH spot. Amazing, a DH that can hit! As far as good news for tonight, Weaver's ERA is now under 6.

    I've seen Pete interviewed so don't see him as a great analyst. But I'm old enough to say I saw him play in his prime and he definitely belongs in the hall. Crap, he bet on his own team as a manager. It's not like he was shooting up with the bash brothers in the boys room.

    Mike S managed teams stink in April and that's that. Doesn't matter who the players are, doesn't matter who the coaches are. Doesn't matter if they fared well during spring training or not. Once the gate opens, they are off at a snails pace.
